  • Hi i have a bonsai tree and its roots are coming out of the bottom, should I move it to a bigger pot?

  • speak up !

  • in not good in english, so ... can someone write me why i need do that ? take that wire, pull tree to the water...

  • If you can you can....you won't be able to just pull it up out of the ground but if you dig up and take up the dirt that the roots are in you probably can. It can be a bit tricky though....a lot of trees are a lot more fickle than herbaceous plants. I have been planning on trying this as well. But I just recently was able to get a cutting from a tree and apply some root hormone (IBA) and place cutting in a greenhouse bed ...best way of doing it.

  • Good work daniel son. Now wax car and paint fence.

  • @IncredibleBoyo lolol just watched all the karate kid movies ahah.. wax on wax off. righta cirle, lefta circle lol

  • @arooni2 lol so much 4 help asap but yer it shouldent be a problem as long as you dont cut the roots 2much ;)

  • hi. umm I have NO intention in complaining but Mike both shows/speaks a bit... fuzzy. I would really like to know how he bended the steel wire both at the bottom and the top of the pot. I really cant see anything, they even cut away the last part of wiring..

  • Hi

I think my tree has had a baby, like that one there, but smaller it just popped up today.

how do you save them? can anyone help? ..

  • This is an excellent video. I live in a condo and have very little room for plants. This a a great alternative to plants. The suggestions you made are also helpful which repotting any plant. Thank you.

  • i would realy appriciate it if you could help me with this

my bonsai tree's leaves keep turning yellow and falling off every few days some times weeks

im not too sure on the type on tree but i keep it in day light but not on my window sill as it gets too hot on sunny day, but i keep it near the window when it's not the brightest of days..i have 3 bonsai tree's and the other two do not seem to have this problem do you have any tips .. Please

  • It could be serveral different problems, disease, pests, too much water, too little water, too much sun (cant really happen but with some plants) or no sun. Could be trying to enter dormant period, might need repotting. Yellow and dead leaves is a sign that the tree is not growing in certain areas or it is not getting enough nutrients. Most of the time its a water or soil related issue.

  • in that case i can rule out all but nutrients and growth Thanks alot for the help :) much appreciated

  • mine died from root rot(it was my first one:(

  • What happened to the saftey wire? I wrapped mine around the tree a few times and between a couple of roots but left enough space to breath. Is this ok or there a recommended technique? Help would be appreciated.

  • how do you repot bonsai if you already have the pot full of moss ? i did see some of your bonsai with moss right to the edge i have been told not to do that as the soil cannot breath is that correct or not ????

  • Nice vids. but you forgot to tell us that you CUT the extra roots of!!!!!!!!!!!!

An important part of repotting has NOT been mentioned...???

  • thanks for your vids, they help lots!

  • how do you get moss to grow like that?

  • wonderful

  • Goto admire his love of bonzi trees

-proud owner of an austrailian brush cherry bonzi-

  • is it possible to re pot my bonsai in the summer if my bonsai soil was really crapy when i brought it. im worried about the bonsai

  • ah that was cheap!! What we needed to see he didn't show! I wanted to see what to do with the roots before re potting but he went straight from loosening the roots to suddenly short root! )(*#)$&@)#(*$~~!!!!!!

  • when you repot dont you cut the roots back?

  • i think he did trim it but it wasnt shown on the video

and apparently if you dont want it to grow fast or bigger. you trim it...other wise if you want rapid growth u dont trim them and put it in a larger pot

  • nice for n4ps but this dude dont talk/act like an "expert from da village"^^

  • based on they way you type your sentences. I suppose anyone can talk or write much better then your capable of doing

  • Oh one more thing... What is a "da village" ??

  • fine presentation. check out the trees at jessar2
