If you can you can....you won't be able to just pull it up out of the ground but if you dig up and take up the dirt that the roots are in you probably can. It can be a bit tricky though....a lot of trees are a lot more fickle than herbaceous plants. I have been planning on trying this as well. But I just recently was able to get a cutting from a tree and apply some root hormone (IBA) and place cutting in a greenhouse bed ...best way of doing it.
hi. umm I have NO intention in complaining but Mike both shows/speaks a bit... fuzzy. I would really like to know how he bended the steel wire both at the bottom and the top of the pot. I really cant see anything, they even cut away the last part of wiring..
i just wonder if u have a outdoor bonsai when is the best time to cut the roots and the tree itself?? wouldnt that be in autum or as soon the tree sleeps the wintersleep?? i can not find anything about the time !
This is an excellent video. I live in a condo and have very little room for plants. This a a great alternative to plants. The suggestions you made are also helpful which repotting any plant. Thank you.
i would realy appriciate it if you could help me with this
my bonsai tree's leaves keep turning yellow and falling off every few days some times weeks
im not too sure on the type on tree but i keep it in day light but not on my window sill as it gets too hot on sunny day, but i keep it near the window when it's not the brightest of days..i have 3 bonsai tree's and the other two do not seem to have this problem do you have any tips .. Please
It could be serveral different problems, disease, pests, too much water, too little water, too much sun (cant really happen but with some plants) or no sun. Could be trying to enter dormant period, might need repotting. Yellow and dead leaves is a sign that the tree is not growing in certain areas or it is not getting enough nutrients. Most of the time its a water or soil related issue.
What happened to the saftey wire? I wrapped mine around the tree a few times and between a couple of roots but left enough space to breath. Is this ok or there a recommended technique? Help would be appreciated.
how do you repot bonsai if you already have the pot full of moss ? i did see some of your bonsai with moss right to the edge i have been told not to do that as the soil cannot breath is that correct or not ????
ah that was cheap!! What we needed to see he didn't show! I wanted to see what to do with the roots before re potting but he went straight from loosening the roots to suddenly short root! )(*#)$&@)#(*$~~!!!!!!
i think he did trim it but it wasnt shown on the video
and apparently if you dont want it to grow fast or bigger. you trim it...other wise if you want rapid growth u dont trim them and put it in a larger pot
i dont know.. i always wanted a bonsai but i dont know if i can manege to ceep it alive if its that hard...
