  • This is called Boxing if there are peoples who don't know about Martial arts... lol.. they are boxing and if it was to be called WC it would be a disgrace... learn than fight!!!

  • @Akira252252 I've seen the vids on your channel. You must really know a lot about fighting . . .lol

  • @wckwoon haha lol

I do wing chun aswell... actually i am level 9th instructor in London Wing Chun association...

they are good but then they are not using the wing chun system...

i am not saying that is "not good" but i won't call that wing chun...

  • @Akira252252

this is not classic boxing there is a big difference

  • @osnaconlove Yaap Ikr...

  • The main problem is that once you put on boxing gloves Wing Chun becomes rather difficult/impossible to apply. In Wing Chun you move in and stay in until the job is done trapping and striking the eyes, nose, throat, heart, floating rib, knees etc This can not be done in a gloves on point scoring environment. You can not trap properly as your hands are in huge mits and you can not strike in the same way, you basically have to resort to boxing (and boxers have a lot more experience at it).

  • @whitedragon101 Willing to bet you've never trained in MMA gloves.

    They're EXTREMELY thin.

If you can't do something in MMA gloves, you probably can't do it barehanded.

  • Well done.

But isn`t this just hooks, jabs and crosses?

  • @gjkristi Yes, WC round punches and strikes.

  • @wckwoon

Really? I haven`t seen this in Wing Chun before.. wich form have these punches?

  • @gjkristi In some lineages the chum kiu has an uppercut and biu jee form has round punches.

  • @wckwoon

I see how it is better to aplicate these punches in a glove match.

Chain punches would be rather dificult :)

  • @gjkristi In some lineages the chum kiu has an uppercut and biu jee form has round punches.

  • @wckwoon Yep. Wing Chun works pretty well if you ditch the principles of trapping, centerline, vertical punching, and square shouldered stance and just replace everything with kickboxing.

  • I teach wing chun and Fu jow pai to women, kids with disablities and extreme novices...If I ranted about every sloppy sparring match we'd never get anywhere. The only people who complain about form in combat are in it as a sport and won't survive a real fight. That doesn't apply to masters who have time for form. My judgement of form is "Would they survive?" In a real fight, it's over in ten seconds! These guys are doing well, especially for the first time fighting out of the classroom!

  • @Reluctantsifu Very good post. People who don't fight are usually the ones that look for perfect technique in a fight. These guys were fighting full contact for the very first time. btw, I teach Wing Chun and I studied Fu Jow Pai when Sifu Wai Hong was teaching. Paul Vizzio, Tak, David, etc. weren't Sifus then. The actress Morgan Fairchild was in my class back then.

  • @Reluctantsifu This grounds a point I was trying to make about true fighters over sports entertainment. Martial Masters like Monks, who are martial Marvels who developed their prowess out of necessity for survival, and a way of life for them that has remain unchanged. Yet, everyone easily contends that they would not stand up well against the "fighters of today", and I beg the question of which fighters? The ones in the ring? Street duels to the death aren't common place now..

  • It looked a bit unconventional but hey at least its full contact fighting so good on you guys. I think the biggest problem with wing chun is that there are not enough guys doing what are doing. I imagine scientific boxing and wrestling wouldn't be so competitive if they didn't have millions of competitors and multiple generations of full contact fighting. I want to see the chun get really developed full contact competition and see what happens.

  • lol!!!!

  • @rangersct LOL ! ! !

  • Sloppy "wing chun"

  • @mrsickbeats187 Yip Man said the real gung fu isn't pretty. But like I always say. Please upload a video of YOU fighting against a resisting opponent who is trying to hurt you so people can see how a fight should look. Maybe, I can learn something from your clip.

  • It is my hopes to see KWCKS (outgrowth of my 38 years MA experience and 26 years development) to become the new wave of the future...testable under pressure, adaptable, and one hell of a hardcore fighting system. I am ready to teach it in some public and private courses this spring. The videos will come out shortly thereafter. Questions, email me, be respectful and have logical questions. Others may feel insulted about my below statements, that's okay. 26 years ago I would felt same things.

  • Let's see what happens with the head protection off, you guys are wearing gloves. I give it to yellow guy, has better skill than other guy. However, let's see WC vs MT, WC vs Kyoshinkai, WC vs MMA, WC vs Boxing (Western), WC vs TKD, WC vs BGZ,...all in minimal gear (cup, mouth piece, and MMA gloves. I want to see the exemplary form so touted by most "WC as it is popularly taught" to be maintained/retained during a hard contact fight. I am talking about- Founder of Kiser Wing Chun System. JEK

  • @combatives

I have a modernized, redesigned WC system that holds up in real time, hard force fighting...it all boils down with how you train. Retain traditions like an archived old book...teach hard core applications based on real timing. Forms will not teach you at all how to fight, I MEAN THIS! MYJ is not better than bag or pad training, Chi Sau THROW AWAY only Pummel Hands, Throwing Hands, Shocking Hands, Catching Hands methods, etc.....KWCKS develops WC fighting skills in a short time!

  • @combatives

PT 1 or 2 ,,Yes this is a shameful plug :) KWCKS Kiser Wing Chun Kuen System ("Quicks") new WC,I will soon put up video to show what I mean! WC if retaining the ESSENCE of the system which was to be EFFECTIVE against the dangers that existed around it. Times and danger variables have changed, WC needed to get with times (I KNOW!) Become hardcore just how it used to be, the FOUNDERS would have wanted us to keep ideas but keep polishing and growing the fighting system. CONTINUED...

  • @combatives PT 2 OF 2. Look at WC as a rail system upon a rifle that can be modernized, IMPROVED, streamlined, and proofed in as many combat situations possible re: real threats-criminal trends, warfare CQC, street fights/MMA thugs, and YES Firearm Training and Tactical Weapons Training. Nothing wrong with WC principles, or many of the energy/shape/body/force response manifestations some call "techniques".KWCKS calls them Contact Manifestations. Bong, Tan, Fook are all there- diff apps apply

  • @combatives You called it. I've been doing martial arts for 46 years. I started as a young Marine in Okinawa, I was a full contact fighter and I teach fighter. I don't need a "modernized" WC system. I do the wing chun of William Cheung and it's worked fine for me.

  • and you had to slow it down so we could see the sloppy technique that's crazy. i hope this isn't what's taught at your school?

  • Boooooo! this is crap these guys really need to back to the drawing board. completly uncontrolled and sloppy. When ever i see vids like these i am reasured why bruce changed wing chun this is crap!

  • That is not wingchun at all!

  • @sohem007 It is.

  • @wckwoon no wickwoon it IS NOT. The principles of wing chun are not maintained. So how can you say it is wing chun. ''Bong sau than round punch'' are you some sort of retard???

  • 2 answer your question he was a low level Wing Chun guy. Wing Chun is a great form of fighting with great principles. Bruce Lee broke off because no one would teach him after Yip Man he would have finished the system although he did train with William Cheung but nobody wants 2 talk about that like it's a bad thing. William Cheungs system is the most functional Wing Chun system. So don't b so quick 2 chop down this system over a crappy video like this. Always remember as well, it's not the syste

  • That is some real shit fighting. Seriously, these people are wack. If this is Wing Chun, then one is better off learning any other martial art. No wonder Bruce Lee broke off from it. They fight like kids in the park. I wonder what level those fighters are.

Seal Lung Kung Fu for the win!

  • looks more like a wc practitioner against a really lozy opponent...

  • @vahner7vakruz There are two different WC fighters in yellow in that clip.

  • the worst blocking ever. they punch like kids with no technique.

  • I also studied some W. Cheung style at a school, and I must say, good footwork. They tend to seek the outside gate, while WSL style seeks the inside. This was interesting, and not hard to combine. It's good to be able to choose both. WSL style however seemed more economic with their hands, aiming everything more towards the centerline, but for defending harder blows, the Cheung style seemed more safe. It all fits together though, so you can see it is all one style. Wing Chun, gotta love it :-)

  • @blablabla1864 Yes, WC in very diverse. It's best to use what works for you.

  • @blablabla1864 Only the yellow fighters are wing chun in these clips. The others fighters are from different styles. One of them was the Japanese San Shou champion. This was an international event with people from different styles from all over the world.

  • Comment removed

  • I see wing chun here. I've studied WSL style at a school where they do spar full contact, also the beginners. And we have national championships. This is what it looks like with a non-cooperating opponent, closer to real fighting. A bit more chaotic.

  • @blablabla1864 ou are one of the few people who realize that you can't do picture perfect techniques

against a resisting opponent who's trying to hurt you. It's people who've never competed

that expect to see WC like they see in class. Big props to you.

  • that was not a bong sau. it wasn't even executed right, the way this guy just throws his arm out there is totally useless

  • Mike Tyson of Wing Chun !!

  • I want too learn wing chun sooooo bad but I don't think there is WC classes in the south western part of VA

  • ok full contact... now weres the Wing Tsun?

  • @oONuggamusOo We don't do Wing Tsun. we do Wing Chun (TWC)

  • @wckwoon not in this video.

  • @Culturealimprovement Ok then, as a martial artist I'm always willing to learn. Would you please upload a video of you competing using Wing Chun? I'd be interested in seeing how think a Wing Chun full contact event should look.

  • @wckwoon Try out my new martial art system, i call it wing chun. its made with fried rice and chicken soup... you get the point? You can call it what ever you want to call it, it just doesn't qualify...

  • i know it shouldnt look neat or pretty, but it should at least maintain some techniques and principles. no yee gee kim yeung ma in this at all. its appaling

  • @Hitchens4God Lol thx for you comment. Yee Jih Kim Yueng Mah is for training stance anr arm positions. It's not for fighting. To stand in a YJKYM against a grappler would be appalling.

  • wing chun just doesent work in these matches, either their sifu's havent taught the principles proplerly, or with enough emphasis. or these guys are just shit scared. every time i try and find some technique in a full contact fight, i just cant find it. These freaks have no wing chun. just a couple of guys flailing around, looking fat.

  • @Hitchens4God I'm one of the Sifu who helped train them. What they are doing is in the captions. Also, it was their first fights. I have other fights on this channel. I always ask this of negative comments. Please feel free to upload a video of you so that we can all see how WC should look when fighting someone trying to wreck you.

  • WC works great against guys who lead with their face, have no head movement, and rarely throw articulated punches.

  • fighting isn't pretty its nasty how would wing chun punching hold up against a pro boxer or wing chun against a pro thai boxer last but not least against a top mma fighter you know the answear to that you all know

  • Yip Man said real kung fu isn't pretty.

  • @wckwoon yea but these movie watching dumbasses dont understand :D

  • Why is this video titled as Wing chun? :/

  • @shuffling4fun Because it is Wing Chun. Didn't you read the captions. It's obvious that the WC we do isn't what you're familiar with.

  • @wckwoon I train in wong sheun leung style and I don't need to upload any clip since there are thousands of clip on youtube already..

  • @shuffling4fun WSL was my Si-Bak. He was a fighter. He used what worked in fighting even if other didn't think it was WC. Like when he used a knee in a fight. There are clips of WSL WC but are they of fighting? My point is that you don't know the WC I do. Yet you made the smart remark regarding the title of the clip. That's why I'd like to see a clip or YOU fighting so I can see the WC you're looking for. Of course that'll never happen. After 41 years in WC I know the drill.

  • @shuffling4fun Feel free to upload a clip of you fighting so we can see how WC should look in full contact matches.

  • @shuffling4fun i saw crossing kick to the supporting leg( i wouldve done it to the supporting leg but thats really nasty) the crocodile tail (around 0:19, bam!) after that there was the opening fist( with wide elbows and fist in the center line) and so on, what do you expect? Chi sao?

  • @shuffling4fun

there are wing chung techniques being used man. it doesn't look like the movies cuz its not an act.

  • firstly those gloves ruin your technique period, so something a bit less. and secondly these guys are not using any sticky hands what so ever, block & strike! not one then they other. wing chun might not be flawless but if you don't apply basic principles of the system then you just look like your slugging it out. during the summer i used wing chun to take on a street fighter (demo)

  • @saskel Only the guy is yellow is WC. Also, sticking hands is only a drill. How long have you trained WC and have you ever tried what you know against a resisting opponent who is really trying to knock you out?

  • ALL OF A SUDDEN ERYBODYS WING CHUN FIGHTER LMAO! But no seriously this doesn't seem as close to wing chun at all lol. I understand that wing chun is defensive and not offensive :O

  • @raverbohy It's the Wing Chun we do. Do you do WC. If so, are there any fight clips of what you do?

  • @wckwoon, why don't you just say you don't know how to use WC? If you know it, you've completely lost your form/technique, and I literally mean, utterly and completely. You either don't think WC will work and are too intimidated to use it, or you don't know WC. That's all there is to it. If you were talking about your own interpretation, in a Jeet Kune Do style, fine, but nothing here was based in WC. You can't just do your own different thing & claim it's WC. That makes no sense!

  • @tgreer0120 I see the movements explained in the clips. I don't do that type of Wing Chun but at least he's calling out what his guys are doing. What's up with the hate man? You sound really insecure. Why do you care what other people are doing? The wing chun guys won. Isn't that enough?

  • @raverbohy wing chun is for sure offensive. In wing chun we are not supose to have blocks we just strike but cover while striking and some people have different interpretations of wing chun. W.c has no block only covers. Check out applied wing chun. and if u want my school.... wing chun kali system

  • @cameronameri the word is parry or deflection. you put covers on your bed. *sigh*

  • @moxxfactor no covering is something else. keeping a guard... parrying and deflecting is something else.

  • @cameronameri k, just checked and you're right. man, english is really all about making up new meanings for words...

  • People have to remember 2 very very key facts when they consider what this fight is and how "real" the wing chun is.

There is no stance or fluid blocking because people naturally react explosively, to achieve a "Ip Man" like motion, you'd need to lose the fear of death and the fear of getting hurt.

Also - Bear in mind that Ip Man spent his life learning and is one of the greatest examples of the art form and martial arts.

    A comparison would be harsh.

  • @liftthecurse Yeah there is a lot you will see and hear. If you would like an opinion, the best think to do is try different Arts and you will find the one that you like and worst thing you may have is a little from different Arts, that is not so bad. Good luck.

  • What did i just watch???... i have seen wing chun in movies... Donnie yen, Michelle yeoh... etc and this doesn't look nothing/anything like this. u are throwing random punches in the air, ur kicks are not straight or even making direct contact, and the 1 in blue, has he ever done ANY sort of martial arts???

  • @bobbygrewal47 The guy in blue isn't WC. He was the Japanese San Da champion. Also, movies are choreographed. Real fights don't look pretty. People who compete know that. Also, it was the first ever full contact fight foru our WC student in the yellow. Most people give him big props for having the cojones to get into the ring.

  • @wckwoon i do Muay Thai.... i have seen a REAL fight, and this is awful. Champion??... of what, not being able to throw a punch or defend himself. the 1 in yellow is the only 1 charging into his opponent, and even that is pretty pathetic. i have read about Wing Chun, and these 2 are NOT showing any Arts of Wing Chun.

  • @bobbygrewal47 Only the guy in yellow is Wing Chun. Also, you are not the only person who has seen real fights. In fact, where are you located? We have regular full contact fights in NYC. Send me a message if you're interested in fighting.

  • @wckwoon cojones? lmao mexicans dont need props or wing chun looks like regular fighting 2 me :D

  • This is not WT.These are two hillbillys fighting like retards...

    No stance , nothing..

  • @arislempis The fighter in yellow is WC. The other fighter isn't. But please feel free to upload a video of you fighting against a resisting opponent who is trying to really knock you out so the world can see how it should look

  • So I have been researching Kung Fu because a recent perk in interest ive had in learning a discipline that could potentially lead to spiritual enlightenment and peace of mind. Obviously ill be crossing Youtube off my list of reference points due to completely asinine comments left by what seems to be a group of 12 to 15 year olds heckling every video.

  • I really like wing chun. But i just seems so flawed. Jeet Kune Do is the only complete form of combat

  • @piester There is not "Complete" martial art.

  • wing chun is not for ring. It doesn't really good in ring match. as form of self defense, it really works i have tried myself and it really works. Though I only learn winch chun based on video I watched here in youtube. My base martial arts is shotokan karate. How I wish I can train under a real Wing Chun Master.

  • @mjdbest who ever told you that was mistaken. If you're in the NYC area you can train under a real WC Master. Me.. Master Phillip Redmond my website is; wingchunkwoon

  • I haven't seen any sticking power or any of the 18 hands of wing chun in any of the wing chun full contact fights here on youtube. Makes me sick. Ng Mui and Yim wing chun would turn over in their graves if they saw all that testosterone fly n call it wing chun.

  • @wingchunshinobi Please upload a video of you competing so that all can see how you use the "sticking" and 18 hands of WC. It would be great to see. But as usual I'm betting that you're another WC fantasy guy who has never tested his WC for real. If so you'd not have made such an uniformed post. But, I could be wrong and you'll upload a clip of you fighting against a resisting opponent who is trying to wreck you.

  • Good! Excellent alternative to ipecac syrup.

  • its not how you stoped the guy, But your style looks more like a boxing style the punches are more Western boxing. Wing chun is more Center line at bend elbow! Also Wing Chun is not for Competing it was more for self defence, we never had to compete we would just train so when a problem would raise we were ready!!! but your punches are good have you thought of doing "MMA"

  • That is not wing chun what this guy is doing not close at all.... Sorry keep training find a good sifu who teach you well!!!

  • @yanpinming33 Please upload of you competing so that we can see how fighting a resisting opponent should look.

  • @wckwoon I agree. I am not a WC person but students of most martial arts simply DO NOT REALIZE that in a real fight, --or even a situation that starts to approach the dynamics of a real fight (e.g. a full contact match) -- their art will NOT loo like it does in class.

If people expect the application of their art to match the idealized form they practice in their dojo, dojang or Kwoon, they will always be disappointed. Only the inexperienced assume they will look the same.

  • @shenzino You're right. People who don't fight just don't get it.

  • I watched a lot of wing chun full contact videos now. How come I don't recognize the style in those videos? Is Wing Chun not properly applyable in an actual fight?

Serious question, by the way. I was thinking about doing Wing Chun, but I'm starting to doubt it after watching many videos.

  • @YearningForHonesty Yip Man said that real kung fu doesn't look pretty. You can't expect perfect Shaw Brothers choreography in a fight where someone is trying to take your head off. Especially if it's your first fight.

  • just looks like punching to me.

  • @hungmanhtran Please upload a video of you competing so that we all can see how a full contact fight should look.

  • I think many here are forgetting these are just students. Greenhorns at that. Of course, their technique is shitty for now and needs a lot of work. Why do you judge about WC by looking at this?

  • @parahumanoid Exactly, people are lookling for Shaw Brothers choreography in the full contact fights. This was the first time fighting against resisting opponents for them. They'll get better with more fights.

  • I haven't practiced WC myself, but it seems perfectly viable. Either way it gave the world Bruce Lee (his primary style was WC before he went on to develop JKD), and to the best of my knowledge he is said be have been exceptional in his abilities. I really couldn't give a shit about grappling if a guy can incapacitate me with a 2-inch punch. IMO, hat testifies to the ability of the art. As for competitions - it's often considered a female style, as is taiji, so not many contests there.

  • Noobs L2p :D

  • ah yes "Master" Phillip Redmond- I used to train under G.M. Cheung too. I loved his "ground fighting" seminar in.. 2003 or 2004 I forget. Very.. eye opening, lol. Funny how there are no W.C. athletes in any real competitions- why no boxing events if its superior? why no MMA/NHB? if you cont fight 1 guy how can you call it "martials arts' (many ppl)? bullshit thats why. so where in mount laurel / ny ny are you? is (917) 912- 3458 yur cell, home, or school? full contact fights my ass

  • @eternalnameless Pt.1 Yes, I was a Wing Chun full contact fighter. Aside from my WC, I trained with kickboxer Yoel Judah, Zab Judah's dad. And with Ralph Mitchell. I also fought Jonas Nunez who is well know in the East Coast. Our NJ school is at 3747 Church Road, Mt Laurel, NJ. I also teach Sat. 3-5pm in Columbus Park, Chinatown, NYC. You can come see me anytime.

  • @eternalnameless Pt.2 Copy and paste these on youtube:

Zab Judah's father kickboxing, 56 year Wing Chun fighter Rajah, Wing Chun's Jerry Devone wins in MUSU 9/18/11, Wing Chun trapping hands slow-mo, Wing Chun v kick boxer, Wing Chun - Ishaq Sloans's MUSU 1st fight 8-28-10, Wing Chun - Ishaq Sloan's Championship MUSU fight 8 28 10. This is how we train: Wing Chun NJ_7, Wing Chun NJ_10, Wing Chun NJ_11, This is me do you'll know what I look like.

    Shock ups and the "Wheel"

  • @eternalnameless Why is it that people like who claim to be martial artists but have never competed using their art trash talk other people who at least have the cojones to get into the ring? And you do it anonymously like a scared child. I guess the internet has all types of keyboard gangsters . . . . .lol btw. you already know who I am. I fear no one. That's why I use my real identity online.

  • Its a real fight

..Its not going to look fancy like a movie..

  • As in all youtube video's people like to use "over the top" comments. What has to be said about this video is that this guy's are using the very first part of the fighting system that wing chun is. Chain punching is not a weapon, is a way to learn how to use your body, switching then to the "real" wing chun. When what you know about the art is only that is only natural to try to make it work. What i can say to you guy's is: don't try to make a learning concept the core of your fight. Keep your

  • @Rashagal1987 Balance on your leg behind and work to master what you are learning, so you can move on to the "real" way of wing chun fighting. Good training

  • 90% of wing chun videos on youtube arent wing chun. these retard vids give the whole art a bad name. wing chun will take years to learn properly, no matter how many times you've watched ip man.

  • @giggaplex sooooooo. true. can't teach muscle memory...gates...and the ability to "feel" ur rooting and opponent's position. it has to be experienced. i agree...i see alot of bad "wing chun" on youtube

  • @giggaplex The truth is, every time I see a Wing Chun video it's the same - the guys getting owned by proper fighters are said not to be doing it right. No one, it seems, since Ip Man can do it right.

  • @TheKarmakazeNZ, at least on Youtube, you'd be right. I'm not being sarcastic, there is NO WC fight on all of Youtube, at least not out of thousands of videos I've seen claiming WC was used in a fight. Some of us know WC and we can see there's no WC. If someone actually DID WC and lost, I'd happily admit and be honest with myself about it, I'd not make excuses. I'm being honest, I've not seen a single legit WC fight I've been able to find on Youtube.

  • @TheKarmakazeNZ unless you know wing chun extremely well it is very difficult to understand what people are trying to apply, especially in video, even more so again if the person applying it isnt using wing chun properly. if you want to see how it works, find a teacher under Wan Kam Leung and they will happily SHOW YOU how it works. im not here to argue with people, but i had a lot of doubts with this kung-fu before i started and i have been proved wrong time and time again.

  • @TheKarmakazeNZ also if anyone is interested and ever in the canberra/melbourne area of Australia, get in contact with me and i'll refer you to some really good people who will change your perspective =)

  • I used to train Wing Chun. Its shit videos like this that make me glad I stopped. These guys tech sucks. No idea how anyone could really even post this video with that title. Buncha slobs doin what anyone else would do on the street- sloppy punching and fallin around.

  • @eternalnameless Anonymous troll. Upload a video of you competing so we all can see fighting should be done. I'll be looking for you video.

  • @wckwoon no problem buddy, but it wont be any wing chun, those days seem over for me- unless you think you can change my mind..? ah the good ole days of challenge matches- finding out who is real and who has had their head filled up by a buncha theoretical based patty cake matrix wanna-be bullshitters.

  • @eternalnameless I'm so glad tho hear that you and I don't fall into that category.

  • @eternalnameless U should know: That the special forces of Germany (KSK and GSG9) are practising Wing Chung, because it was the most effektive style TO defeat an enemy in close quarter combats!!!!

  • @Sinan97082 and you should know that all U.S. special forces use BJJ. Even standard Marines as I was first trained by them and BlackWater / Recon. As a matter of fact- last I knew Royce Gracie (by far the worst of all the Gracies!) had the contract to train the Seals. They do use some close quarters elbows and knees. I get it- going to the ground blah blah blah- but seriously- if W.C. can be used to win, guys making a profession out of fighting would use it- no?.

  • @eternalnameless This is something I can´t tell you... but this Teams are the FIRST address if they have to rescue hostages quickly !!! Ahh fucking shit never fought against a WT-practitioner... hmm.. maybe I should go to a school/dojo and challenge someone for a bareknuckle fight -.- with RULES of the Street.

  • @Sinan97082

Maybe you should. Start with the master, see how far you get.

  • @wckwoon found some fights- gonna figure out how to upload them, not a computer geek like you. so which one of these faggotass "fighters" are you? these guys all hit like girls, if they just went standard boxing you might have an actual fight on yur hands. same thing i saw when i trained- tech goes out the window and guys resort to shit tech punches/ street haymakers and turning their heads/ closing their eyes every time a sissy "punch" comes in. i can eat those all day and still pound you out

  • bad

  • @janochik Please upload a video of you competing so the myself and others can see how it should be done.

  • you realy don,t see wing chun in full contact there is no turnaments my sifu was steve brandon let him hit you with a three inch punch and tell me then you hit harder better yet let,s me and you get in a ring and trade punches then tell me it dont hurt no ground and pound just stand up then you talk about wing chun i,m 48yr old

  • ha im stealing this

  • WHo? who is this legendary man doing back flips in Wing Chun

  • Was that meant to be instructional? That was pretty average fighting so why tell us bout what kick or block or attack you did, anyone with any fight training can see that was a crap fight so why boast!

  • Was this stand up striking only? No takedowns/throws/grappling allowed?

  • @zacktillery, your comment is invalid as you obviously have no idea what Wing Chun Consists of. Wing Chun does not teach backflips and most (but not all) schools don't teach any kicks above the stomach, it simply utilizes the best striking techniques at the most direct target. Thousands of Bodyguards, Government Agents & Security Guards world wide study Wing Chun for that very reason. If WC and Aikido aren't for you, thats all well and good. But at least have logical reasons for dismissing them.

  • Wing Chun is progressive, Use what technique works most effectively in the given situation.

  • @zacktillery You obviously have never seen WC if you talk about back flips.

  • @wckwoon You know what i mean. I was just hinting at unrealistic things. You cannot punch a person constantly in the chest at full force and still remain at full composure, AND expect not to get hit. Just my Opinion, i guess.

  • @zacktillery

Hardly unrealistic, it just means you're more likely to hit your target than outlandish swing of the arm.

No WC punches are straight to the chest all the time, its the centre line, not just the solar plexus.

  • @Fatalpath Why do you never see wing chun in full effect when its not choreographed? It's a beautiful art to watch, but thats the extent of its usefulness, in my opinion.

  • @zacktillery

Because it's an Art? You're only going to experience it in full effect like that because every attack/redirection/blocks work so flawlessly and rhythmically together when the two participants are practitioners of WC. It's not choreographed, it's just year's of drills being put into action. You know the attacks they know, therefore you know how to counter it. You won't find this on a street fight obviously because an opponent not involved in WC isn't going to fight the same.

  • @Fatalpath You can say all day that "unless you know wing chun, you can't counter it" but that is very untrue. On the contrary, though, you cannot stop a wrestler without knowing how to grapple. And please please PLEASE do NOT say "wing chun has anti-grappling" which i KNOW it does, but i would disagree and say that is completely retarded and wouldn't work. Love and respect to you, by the way. :)

  • @zacktillery I didn't at all say you cant counter it without WC, I just stated that it looks like its in "full effect" and "choreographed" as you said BECAUSE it's two WC practitioners, there was no "cant" about it. You completely contradicted yourself by saying "Which i know it does, but i would disagree".

it does have some useful moves in grappling, but I would agree that it isn't amazing,I would put forward that anyone good enough at WC would avoid a grapple situation at all costs

  • @Fatalpath I never contradicted myself. The statement was stupid, and has been rephrased as, "i know it has anti-grappling techniques, but i would say that they don't work." As for Wing chun practioneers staying away from grappling as much as possible, it is almost impossible not to get tied up if you've never been informed heavily of the effects of grappling and a ground game. Don't get me wrong, i wouldn't fuck with a master of WC and DEFINENTLY don't mean any disrespect. :)

  • @Fatalpath Only the fighter in the Yellow shirt is WC.

  • @zacktillery Backflip kicks in Wing Chun??? It's great that respect is your highest priority, but you obviously don't have a clue what Wing Chun looks like. First try it and then post your comments....

  • @kungfuexpert I just meant the unrealistic part. I know there are no backflips.

  • @zacktillery I bet Yip Man would say otherwise

  • @pinkeyepork Anybody that practices any martial art that others believe to be boring or unuseful would disagree, dosen't make them useful. To be fair, though, a master of wing chun would be a good fighter, it's just getting there thats the problem.

  • @zacktillery Bruce Lee would disagree also

  • @pinkeyepork That dosen't make any sense, because i just agreed with you.

  • @zacktillery Excuse me?

Aikido is about manipulating your opponents to exactly where you want them to be, nullify their attacks completely or throw them right back in their faces.

Wing Chun is about combining elements from many fighting styles to become as effective as possible.

How is any of that useless?

  • @WlatPziupp I can over explain anything and make it seem useful. Take different tcp/ip technology. Token ring goes in a circle and takes information to the correct port and drops it off. How is that useless? However, it is outdated and not useful. Just like in combat, wrist flicks and the "1,000,000" punches a second won't do you any good. Thinking > dreaming. :)

  • The people who make the most negative comments about people fighting are usually people who have never competed.

  • @wckwoon And you base this opinion on what evidence?

  • @MacFlanahan from my 41 years in WC and observing.

  • @MacFlanahan Sounds like anecdotal evidence at best.

  • Any Wing Chun technique is lost in good o'l scapping.

  • @taoistaztec We don't do the same WC as most others.
