  • Burrrr.

  • My father was one of the workers killed on the Blough during her construction.

He was damn proud of building that big "boat" and I'm proud she's still plying the waves of my sorely missed Great Lakes.

She currently shows to be E.S.E of the Keweenaw peninsula heading down to Sault Ste. Marie @ 07:30 10Nov11

  • @co634 Actually the Blough is 858'

  • Roger Blough is a iron ore ship and is 626 ft. and mainly opetation is to two harbors mn. to ? And did you know that Lake Superior is world largest freshwater lake and Duluth,Mn is the world farthest inland seaport and also the world largest inland seaport when you pass undet the famous ariel lift bridge but can get in superior entry too but boring and you have to travel 28 miles to superior entry. I mean the shipping entry for wisconsin's side

So Duluth has 4 world record in the area.

  • @co634 858 x 105 gross 42000 ton iron ore

  • To @UK1681 believe it or not even with her stubby shuttle boom we hauled stone a few times in her but you're right 99% of the time it's Tacconite ore pellets. To lancetop- out of all the ships I worked on if I was out in a storm I'd pick her to ride it out in.

  • Lake Superior is so fabulous, but no way would I ever sail on her.

  • what does it haul ?

  • @UK1681 if im not mistaken it looks like an ore freighter. iron ore would be my guess :p

  • Great video!!! Thanx!!!
