Japan is a completely different country & culture from China. Chinese & other Asians would encounter great culture shock as Westerners do if they actually lived in Japan. Always keep that in mind. People just aren't knowledgable in the least about Japanese culture or other Asian cultures. That goes for all non-Japanese.

This is the theme song for the movie "Heaven and earth" about Vietnamese war. It's about Vietnam, not China or Japan.

@cactusflower0504 True but the composer who did this piece is of Japanese ethnicity, and knowing the history of China, Vietnam use to be colonized by the Chinese as were the Koreans so a lot of those Asian countries origins lie within China including Japan. Not saying they all look a like but they share a common ancestry musical and physically.

@cactusflower0504 Yeah, but it's pretty easily mistaken as well as the Er-hu is a Chinese instrument and the Vietnamese culture is quite similar to the Chinese culture (including names, clothings, the language they speak).. =) and the composer is a Japanese so it's also normal that Kitaro's nationality was "mixed" into his compositions (like it's his trademark or something).. =D
