Badazzzzzz finally someone uses their dremmel for something worth while. Props for the ingenuity. Keep up the inventive way of thinking and post more.
I made this video a bit differently than the rest. Most of the time I record the audio and video files together. However for this video I recorded the entire video first then added the audio latter a bit by bit. I think that this is way it sounds a little weird that is why from now on I always record both at the same time.
@5firestars Yes I know I have one of those mounts. I have 3 problems with using the handle bar mount;
#1 I find that the mount is a LOT bigger, mounting like how it is show in the video is nice and compact.
#2 I have found that the handle bar mount is not always that secure this can lead to some movement (shake) in the video.
#3 I find that the handle bar mount dose not attach well to smaller diameter ski poles, I have seen this fixed with a lot of tape but I am not a big fan of that.
@kylemartn101 the seat post mounts are smaller than the handlebar mounts and then u put gorilla tape or cloth tape underneath the mount to stop vibrations and it moving around then u just tighten the mount like hell! with a wrench and screw driver
First I would like to say that we are talking about the same mount it is listed on the GoPro site as the “Handlebar Seatpost Mount”. The bigger one we are thinking of is the “Roll Bar Mount”
Second I would have to say that if done right the Handlebar Mount could work. However I would rather not need Gorilla Tape and from a price point of view the Handlebar Mount is $19.99 where as the “Tripod Mount” is only $7.99.
These are just some of my thoughts let me know what you think.
@kylemartn101 yes but i am just saying that for people who maybe dont have the tools and only have some tape and scissors could make it a lot easier and cheaper
@Pablo223523 I think that I would that I would try 36” that is the length of the one that you can buy. As you can see from the clip of skiing at the beginning of the video the legs are cut off. With the new HERO2 and the wider viewing angle of 170° this has gotten better. You will also notice that I am using the 960p setting this is the best way to go for skiing and snowboarding as it is a more square shot and will capture more of the athlete.

I will have to agree with you and say that using the “seatpost handlebar mount” is a viable way to make a GoPro pole.
