@MrTerryslesser: Terry with the Golden Voice---what do you recall about this gig and the onstage jam with the Bad Co boys? I was there and saw it happen---blown away----jaw dropping! Both I and other fans would love to know what it was like for you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! To diehard Kossoff fans fom day one this is musically priceless. When Koss died I stopped playing the electric guitar... but that's another story! Again, thank you so much.
I was there. I had a ticket for what should have been his next gig, too, opening for Sammy Hagar at the Santa Monica Civic about a week later. The guys from Bad Co. came on for a few songs at the end of this show. I remember Mick Ralphs sounding terrible, but it was worth putting up with since I got to see Koss, Simon Kirke and Paul Rogers together on stage again (first -- and last -- time for me). The little guy left an incredible legacy, and it still gets better with every listen.
to the inquiry below: please check itunes for the deluxe version of the Kossoff album Backstreet Crawler. That's where I got the long versions of Time Away &Tuesday Morning
I still cant understand why Kossoff was so underrated, he is in my opinion better then most of the so called guitar gods, his vibrato is amazing, never heard it like this from any other guitarist, the feeling in his playing is outstandin, for me he is one of the Best Guitar players ever.
great up load..koss is truely underrated..luv the guy n his music,..however, the track is 'who do women'..i have the original album,uk copy..maybe the u.s. version is differant??...anyway,still a fantastic tune n artist (-: ..much luv n such! ty.
The track is not titled 'who do women', it''s Hoo Doo Woman, as noted by the poster of this clip. I have the original vinyl album plus the CD re-issue and the Croydon live show vinyl and that's how it's listed on all of them.
@DAMASCUSMUSIC Agree wiyh you!!! Although I liked '2nd St.' just as well. But Koss played less on that one I think. Snuffy may have had to play some parts again as on the LP 'Thanks to Snuffy Walden.
Is the Starwood image genuine? This is great, but I think Koss played (even) better in the next couple of tracks. What a shame he couldn't starighten out, he clearly still had plenty more to give, maybe the best yet.
Ok 15 months ..
still... the 0 dislikes are that more impressive I guess....

This guy sounds incredibly together, you'd never imagine he died a couple weeks later based on this performance. Talk about an insane vibrato. Wow!!

Thanks for posting this. It wasn't too many days after this performance that the world lost a great (and my favorite) guitarist.

BSC did 4 dates at the beginning of March and on one, Bad Co jammed with them, but not this show, it seems.
