  • pure gold.

  • i remember this tune and my single bed well happy days

  • Stone me, Noosha Fox suddenly appears on my screen after 30 odd years! What a memory.

  • I was 10 when this came out....shit.

  • Ah! those lovely long hot summer days in '76 with this playing on our local FM station. Great Memories

  • Good song but I forgot what a woofer she was.

  • @hirdy6

I can't believe you called Noosha a 'woofer'-she was very attractive and interesting,a bit different from other female singers of the time, and all the better for it!!Watch Noosha on her 'Heat Is On' video clip on YouTube-very attractive and not a 'woofer'!!

  • @CelebrateDiversity1 I stand by what I said, card carrying woofer. If you woke up next to that you would chew your own arm off so as to piss off without waking her. Your standards are obviously lower than mine and mine aren't that high!!! You want to have a serious look at yourself if you reckon that is attractive. Interesting is polite way of describing an ugly person, OK yes she is VERY interesting. At your suggestion I took a look at heat is on, just as interesting. looks a tranny to me.

  • @CelebrateDiversity1 Poor man's Kate Bush, a very poor man's Kate Bush.

  • @hirdy6

Obviously there must be something wrong with me to think that Noosha Fox was attractive-and more attractive than Kate Bush (who,I also like!!) But there must be something really wrong with me as it annoys me that Gary Glitter has, basically, been written out of music history (though Michael Jackson would never have been, even if he had been found guilty!) Anyway,if I'd had sex with Noosha Fox in 1976 I would have been really happy!!!

  • @CelebrateDiversity1 I was more of a Linda Ronstadt man myself. As far as Gadd and Jackson are concerned, how do you compare pedophiles? Would gladly have shot both of them.

  • Ohhhh kayyy, black satin shorts and a white cape... and if you look at her close up for a sec, what the hell is she on?? Clearly some mega substance abuse going on there. Wish I knew what that guitar effect is called, where the guitar sound is mixed with the guy's voice. Anyone?

  • @vcat10 You're probably thinking of the Talk Box.

  • How the backing singers stand there and be serious whilst going single bed sss.single bed when ever an old version of top of the pops is on and this song is on it me and my dad can't stop pissing ourselves laughing XD

  • this is gold

  • this is one girl i would shag in a single bed. clap clap

  • Funky song but what was she thinking when she donned those shorts?

BTW I have an Iranian friend called Noosha and she is one foxy lady. Always reminds me of this song.

  • I wonder if they were an influence for Alison Goldfrapp?

  • I'll tell you how funky this shit is. It is very funky.

  • everybody's guilty pleasure?

  • great song, cheryl cole eat your heart out you talentless whinging old tart

  • I saw this video when I was about 17 when all my hormones and enzymes were running wild. The song is orgasmic.

  • My girlfriend was Noosha Foxs' dentist - so is top drawer so were her lyrics!!

  • Oooooh.....Noosha....the lyrics....such steamy memories. So cool.

  • People were much more moral in those days and didn't jump into bed with each other at the drop of a hat, not like today's Jeremy Kyle generation.

  • @Feisty1967 I was born in 1967 too,and respectfully,I disagree with you.The 1970s were MUCH more of a sexually promiscuous era,as evidenced by the 'Looking for Mr Goodbar' scenario or the casual sex portrayed in 'Annie Hall'.Don't forget the Swinger party originated in the 1970s and I can tell you the Aus rock scene was pretty wild at the time. When Aids became an issue in 1981,it led to a period of moral conservatism we're still wrestling with today.Swings and roundabouts.

  • apparently noosha used to be in a folk band called Wooden Horse. i think you can find them on lastfm.

  • I remember watching this as a kid and new it was bad ass my dad even liked it.

  • forty years of searching and i now have ther single! Noosha oh nosh little Noosha. Where are you gorgeous?

  • bananarama redid this song ..viva ablum..

  • @bearflorida71 and it sounded horrible...the original is much better :)

  • It's Bjork's mom

  • or Alison Goldfrapp's!

  • Sorry folks but I keep associating this song with images of cheap brothels and striptease clubs.

  • saw Fox at Nottm Uni in about 1975- she was well-sexy! Front Row for me!

  • Fantastic !! Spoilt only by the dickheads behind her. :)

  • love her shorts... and the song, takes me back!!!!

  • can't get past that toothy grin :)

she is sexy - well almost

  • the bloke on guitar to nooshas left has got a right toothy grin on him. he seems well happy to be there......vintage stuff this one........

  • This is a great piece of 70's schlock-pop, I remember this song as a kid and thinking Noosha had one of the cutest voices ever. Kenny Young is one of rock's most under-rated geniuses - for someone who started out writing pop hits in the 60's like "Under the Boardwalk" and "Captain of Your Ship" to becoming an environmental guru is awesome. I also love his song "Unconditional Love" which he wrote and performed with Gentlemen Without Weapons in the 80's. Just shows that diversity pays off!

  • Always a slightly bizarre group, only really remembered by nostalgists now. This was the period between glam and punk when people were scratching around for the next big thing.

  • can i just say that im 20 so this song was out way before i was born and i love it!! thats why i love you-tube cos i discover great music like this (better than the pap out now) which i wouldnt have discoverd other wise as i wouldnt have heard this when it was out!! im sure in another 33 years people will still like this song!! im a big goldfrapp fan so thats how i heard about noosha!!

  • I agree, I think people who are young often exclude brilliant music like this because its not say of the last 10 years. I do like current music but when you hear a song like this its endless and will always be a good song x

  • My friend, the 70's were a great time to grow up!!

  • Life support!!... ha ha ha that is the funniest comment Ive read anywhere on the tube... nice one..

  • no sound anymore

  • Her voice is amazingly sexy in a freaky way!

  • wot a great song... lol

  • Im sure its not Lol Creme, but watch Yellow Dog's One more Night on TOTP2. Thats the same bloke Im sure...

  • also isnt that one of 10cc playing the guitar??

  • lol creme ?

  • yea thats it godley and creme !!! well done

  • bindgagger you are so right...it threw us all when this came into the charts...and we loved it! we thought it was....weird??

  • yea i loved peter frampton

  • That poor man is on life support at 2:22 and yet still manages to play the guitar here. Amazing effort!

  • I really hope you are kidding!! The man isn't on life support, it is a talk box that he is using. That is what is making that sound in the background! I think it was make super famous by Peter Frampton, but was before him by others.

  • I had no idea Chevy Chase did backup vocals on this

  • she's nice!

  • I never knew what she looked like!!

  • i do know that when noosha fox went solo ,kenny young +herbie armstrong formed yellow dog.check out there single (one more night) pretty cool.

  • From a time when we thought it was either glam rock or punk comes this gem. Lovely voice, naughty lyrics and sexy performance.

  • The only kitsch thing about this song is the fashion. The song itself cooks! Great bass line, funky guitar riff and a vocal with real personality and melody AND the production would hold its own today! Todays Diva's have no idea about melody or hooks, they only know how to shake their tush. back then you had to rely on the actual song. And since we live in an era with no true flavour of its own apart from hip hop, most of which will be consigned to the dustbin of history, this song will be back

  • @fantail31 100% with you. Forget the clothes, just listen to the groove and dance!

  • @fantail31 I don't know if you're into rock at all but if you listen to a band thats been around for a couple of years now, called Children Collide, you will find that they are one of the rare bands that have their own sound. But in general I agree with what is stated and that it is a shame about Hip Hop (especially Aussie Hip HOp) coz it is a great genre (I'm 42),

  • chevy chase on the guitar?

  • Whatever happened to Noosha Fox? (the lead singer)

  • There was some great music from the seventies, superb

  • what a trip

  • Loved this song and about 11 or 12 and thought she was so sexy !

  • damn, still such a sexy song

  • same ere mate,my bishops comin out.

''I pished that single bed now Ive nowhere to lay my head''

  • Could you get anymore 1970s? So kitsch. I love it.

File under Sweet, Lyndsey de Paul and Suzi Q.

  • Why don't they make hits like this anymore? When will R Kelly do the remix?

  • sorry 46joe ..i was up past my bedtime...im a dog person ..but i liked your pussies

  • Comment removed

  • what are you talking about....????

  • @plutosunshine not quiet but got my reservation in

  • I love how she always looks so high all the time! The spirit of the 60s and 70s was in Noosha alright! And yeah you're right this is the original Alison Goldfrapp! LOL

  • great song... fantastic singer!

    thanx for posting :-)

  • go watch britney speers then moron.

  • Single bed? I would have thought she would need a double cos she is a fat old lump.

  • Classic....

  • Great tune. The guitarist is wearing a smashing NATO style pullover. Had one when I was a nipper, comfortable & practical

  • Noosha Fox......Oh yes! wasn't she.

  • This is a bit of a brain worm isn't it! *goes off humming*

  • Really like the pop-funk of this song. Very catchy.

  • sorry guys john craven was never part of foxx

  • Another favorite of mine from the mid-70's. I watched TOTP every Thursday night. I was 12 years old. We came from the U.S. for a job assignment my dad had to fulfill. Incredible music - much better than some of the sad ass country crap coming from my home country at the time.

  • Guitarist at 55 secs is John Craven from Newsround?

  • lol yes it does look like him

  • Can we have a DNA test for miss Goldfrapp and Noosha Fox please.

  • thats esactly what i thought i swear alison is noosha's re-incarnation (even though noosha is still alive!)

  • She doesn't know what to do with her hands! Ah the world is so different now.

  • what an ace song

  • thank you for the post

"Imagine Me, Imagine You" (1975) #15 UK, #7 Germany has anyone got any of thease tracks not found on you tube by this fox

  • and a joker you aint son

  • KICK ASS, this is THE shit... Such an amazing pop song with so much playfull tendencies.

Gorgeous, bless this stuff from the 70's.

VERY ahead of it's time, without a doubt!

  • swings...single bed

  • Classic.

Is she dubbing her own voice live btw?

  • This clip is from top of the pops and bands on the show in the 70s and 80s didnt play live just mimed.

  • not always, some times bands would sing live to a backing track.

  • Yeh especially on top of the pops.

  • GREAT P P PoP....

    shite sound «q~_×p»

  • that a pity i wanna bang her

  • this brings back memories. I can't find their previous hit though. It was called Only you can. Searched youtube.

  • I just found a clip for Only you can. Enjoy it!!

  • I was fourteen when this came out - I wished I was the guy in the song!

  • This song is well ahead of it's time I think!!! she looks like my mum did in the 70s LOL, think we know where Alison Goldfrapp got her influences from!!??

  • Bring back Noosha, she's 63 but I don't care!

  • well if i was in that band doing that song i would smiling just like the guy with the acoustic guitar. wonder how she sang it live if they ever did play it live. great song excellent recording.

not sure about the plastic tube in the mouth.

frank zappa would have loved that..

  • One of the cleverest pop records of all time delivered with style and panache. Splendid! Thanks.
