Wow, this game was both fun AND scary. I was 4 or 5 when I first played it at my cousin's house on their Windows 95, and I never knew what was around the corner until it jumped out at you.

This is because no modern doom engine (this is doom legacy) has support for Chex Quest. The messages were programed into the chex.exe that came with the game, not into the wad.

No, this is something called the Tucows version.

the original engine used with it only had the one episode, so no episode select screen. Playing this on any modern port does the same thing w/o patching it.

I got this game free out of a box of Chex. I LOVED IT! I can't remember how far I got into the game though. The guys I hated were the big floating ones in the helmet who would go "yiyiyiyiyi." You'd hear it from far away. *shudders.* I think it's been at least 9-10 years since I last played it.

Dude I remember this fucking game. When I saw the commercial for it, I begged my dad to buy Chex just for this game, I played it and loved it. I remember playing this everyday around when Fresh Prince came out. This made me like FPS games.
