  • The fact that this is garbage is not surprising, in the least; most of modern so-called art is the same. What is surprising is that wealthy collectors, who may be brilliant in their own businesses, abruptly become drooling imbeciles when they pay for for this trash. An incomprehensible phenomenon.

  • the art market is a tough one to crack - he's done it > I applaud him.

  • Gay

  • Hirst must laugh out loud and dance around the room when he's alone, ecstatic that he has pulled off this ridiculous farce upon the general public and the art establishment, who pay him fortunes for his "art". Yeah, you pulled it off, you prick.

  • This is my opinion about DH :

...because the line between art and garbage can be thin.

Sometimes even artists cannot see it.

  • ebay for the win

  • just dont let him near a paint brush we dont need shocking pastiches of bacon

  • If Hirst was noble he would donate money to charity rather than making expensive art with Diamonds. Yea Hirst your too much of a pussy to comment back. There's drought going on everywhere, and you could ease pain but your too pretentious, arrogant, and conniving.

  • why is hirst a 'bad boy'?

hes worth 130 million, hes a business and establishment all the way like Bono.great marketing is reality to some.

  • hey is just 80 DOLLARS for the god damn CATALOGUE??? thats my lunch money

  • @pakk82 who is talking about your lunch money, that doesnt care, asshole

  • @000LOZA okay

  • people doesnt have jobs, losing roof above the heads, getting robbed on their wage when eventually found work, little childs stragling, bad education, no discipline.. but important is to have our golden cow... i cant find you the names...

  • ... nice deep model pic as your background :)

  • I love Hirst's work, but what's with the butterfly graveyard? omg what a cost for beauty.

  • Gamble svk art. i have a 1milliom ans 1 ideas that would confuse the world but I need the million and one dollars (pounds actually) to pay the staff to produce the works. where's charles when you need him!

  • Check artist Josignacio Painting

  • You've gotta love Hirst, he's fleecing the rich ignorant self-styled art aficionados for a mint with his quickly slapped together "art-factory" produced works.

Sure he's a con-artist but he's only conning the idiots that can afford it. ^^

  • @megamarsvin so true!

  • "artists" like Mr. Hirst? He simply takes objects (animals, medicine cabinets) and places them inside museums.

  • so do pop artists and they have been revered. Learn about modern art before you bash it.

  • Hirst's bad-boy?

140m for work that he pays other people to make nice one

  • OF COURSE the rich can afford ridiculously overpriced art in these times of economic turmoil ... they're the ones enjoying all the tax cuts!

  • and the rich pay the majority of taxes.

  • Because they can afford it. And it's still not nearly enough.
