The Japanese word “雑草” means “weed” in English (however, “雑草” does not have the meaning of cigarette, drugs, or the like).

In Japanese culture, the word "weeds" is used as a metaphor for toughness.

Even if weeds are stepped on many times, they grow vigorously.

So, this song is directed to those who never give up their dreams even if they face difficult situations.
