  • my house had one of those except i think it had a solid red light and an electric horn sound, but my dad replaced it when he read an article about when you should replace smoke alarms and that smoke alarm was put in the house originally when it was built in 1982 and we think it was interconnected to another one in our dining room that was removed before we moved in and the old owners put a cover over the whole, we now have a smoke alarm connected to our security system close to the cover

  • What is that wired to?

  • I think the house I used to live in had one of those. It looked VERY similar!

  • Help i can remove the back to get to the battery how do u remove it?

  • @CrysisTheFlow squeeze the sides of the AC Connector.

  • @NLind oh ok thanks

  • cool lol

  • I like this one, mainly becasue if the light, lol. 5 stars.

  • I thought the code was 180BPM pulse...

  • Man, that green LED is bright!

  • Yeah. could even be used as a night light.

  • That actually is an interesting point. Maybe they designed it that way so people can see a little bit at night. Or maybe not.

That does remind me though, of one time when I was trying to get to sleep at a hotel, and the red LED of an ESL 449 kept distracting me. I kept watching it, because if it flashes every 4.5 seconds instead of every 9 seconds, prepare, and plug your ears if it has a sounder! That's what kept me up.
