I've heat up olive oil and applied it to my hair and put a cap on for a bit and it did really well. But I'm gonna have to try that mix you're talkin' about (always willing to try something new). The Bio Infusion hair lotion is also really good.
i heard the same thing about mineral oil and petroleum too, they say petroleum clogs the pores in your scalp, so ladies read ur labels b4 purchasing......;)
In all honesty, I don't have a good answer for you. For years my hair dresser told me not to use products with mineral oil in it because it had drying effects on your hair (that is why I stopped using the Pink line). However, if you research it, you will get many opposing opinions. Basically it seems people consider it bad for your hair because it is a synthetic ingredient. So you really have to form your own opinion. I've just avoided it because I've been told so many times that I should.
