people do this by takin the instrumental and flipping the sound waves in a sound editor...like sound forge or somethin...and then lining it up with the beat so the beat waves cancel each other out and the vocals are left....because its not PERFECTLY on time, you can hear the beat in the background a little. if you line it up a lil closer you would hear no beat at all. but this is pretty close - props
