Actually I think the Mustang GT500 is heavier than the M5. The Cobras are real porkers. The food processor under the hood can't make up for its weight.

But ya gotta cut the Mustang some slack. There aren't many cars that can pull strongly at the top end against that V10. So many cars pull ahead at first but then get overtaken at the end.

Ford isn't owned by the government and they were probably one of the few automakers that actually had a profitable year in 09. How can you call an entire company trash because one of their products lost to a tuned BMW M5's V10, a car that the GT500 wasn't even built to compete against, at a simple drag race? Even if it is tuned to 600hp there's more to it than about how much a company "sucks balls". Trust me, they don't.
