  • The very first 45rpm record that my parents purchased was "Oh Carol" by Neil Sedaka in the 1950s

  • MASTER SEDAKA!!!:)

  • why would he do this????he is no weird al yankovic.

  • His appearance is as good as his age but his singing and piano skills are still as good as before. Amazing. I knew the cd was out there but didn't get one. Looking at him singing like this made me want to get a copy of it. Thanks for posting. Go, Neil!

  • Neil is so a nice man. So talent guy.

  • amazing....!! What a wonderful song!

We love you Neil! Keep singing!!

  • A truly amazing talent and still going strong!

    (another contri from the UK).

  • who cares about the hall of fame?

i live in wales uk and can only say that neil is loved the world over.

start singing breaking up is hard to do or many other songs of his and they are instantly recognised as sedaka.

    love you neil

  • Brilliant! I hope your petition is successful and Neil Sedaka does get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, he deserves it!

  • The Carpenters (Richard Carpenter) fired him, because the Carpenters were the stars, and it was their job to introduce the celebrities in the audience...and Neil Sedaka decided it was ok for him to do this. He was upstaging them. That was why he was fired. And Karen Carpenter was down to an emaciated 80 lbs. It was a stressful experience for all of them. The next year, on their A KIND OF HUSH album, they recorded BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO...

  • I heard the carpenters fired him as their opening act as they felt he was too talented

  • Does he do a spoof on "Bad Blood"?

  • he's just sooo boss.

  • It is a travesty that Neil has NOT been named to the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. Some groups who have been around for less than 10 years have been inducted, but NOT Neil (or even Neil Diamond) Sedaka who's been in the business for almost 50 years!! Who does the voting????????

  • Totally agree. Other greats who should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are Connie Francis and Lesley Gore! Have been told by the RnR Hall of Fame that past accomplishments by the artists has NOTHING to do with consideration for nomination, it's totally up to the wim of the judges whether or not an artist is considered for the hall of fame.

  • That's too bad, stevemichaels2020, that some of the greats are overlooked just because a 'newer' act is more popular at this time. I saw Connie Francis 1 1/2 years ago at a concert to honor Neil at Lincoln Center in NYC-she was still great. Many notables from the 60's (and more recently) performed. Great concert. Neil's entire family attended, too!! Some of the performances from that night may be up on Youtube.

  • I agree the Rock Hall of Fame is wacky. Carole King who has one of the best albums of all time, and Neil Diamond who has so many great songs and albums.

  • Lunch will keep us together is soooo catchy I can't get over it.

  • ♫♫♪♫♪ GREAT VIDEO ♪♫♪♫♪

Neil Sedaka is a musical genius.

A contribution such as Neil Sedaka's, spanning 50+ years of singing and songwriting (and spawning hits for so many artists!) should be recognized. Neil's writing clearly had an influence on the development and direction of pop/rock music over several decades.

♥♥♥ PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION ♥♥♥

  • @Tuneweaver2008, Agree.

  • Flat out - - Neil is a musical genius.
