  • my favorite episode!!!!!!!! the most beautiful music !!! i love

  • this episode does show true love between two people

and how love can never be wrong

but can occur at the wrong time

  • Two women who got sick of being victimized, and chose empowerment, are being pursued in a car chase. When they come to a point where they can't drive any further, they stare death in the face, and choose to defiantly drive over the edge.

Sounds like this was inspired by Thelma and Louise.

  • The ending part does look like it's about Best Friends Forever.

  • This is my favorite episode from cold case, thnx for posting this along with this beautiful song!!!

  • i cried after this episode

  • I think Cold Case has made a better job for the lesbian love story in 1930s in Best Friends than about the two gay cops in the 1960s in Forever Blue - both are times when the majority cannot accept such relationships. Regardless, I think Cold Case has made a excellent job making the stories on gay and lesbian relationships very touching.

  • omg i wana c tht

  • iiiiiiiiii have become Comfortably Numb

  • @AznCookie666 lol it's been a year

  • If anyone wants a website for full episodes just send me a message. i know an awesome site, but for some reason i can't post it

  • My favorite episode.. Poor rose..poor billie.

  • can anyone upload the full episode, or tell me where i can watch it online if it is available? thanks

  • is this full episode online anywhere?

All i seem to find is bits and peaces.

  • I didn't hate homosexuals. I accepted them, but nothing more. When I saw this episode... I saw a beautiful couple. And it helped to change my opinion or make it better. Great work.

  • @Guppy17011 You didn't hate homosexuals and you accepted them? So does that mean that you hate homosexuals and you don't accept them?

  • @mjay22 Of course not? I thought my message was clearly enough :D.

  • @mjay22 I think it's more like a woman I knew who said 'I don't mind homosexuals but I don't think they needed to show that [single gay kiss in Torchwood]'. Luckily she was disabled so I said 'I dont mind cripples but I don't think they need to be shown having healthy relationships on TV' and that shut her up. It's amazing how little passes for tolerance.

  • Everytime I see this, I can't help but cry...

  • poor rose!

  • This is a wonderful and sad episode.

I love the poems in it. Does anyone know who has written these poems and where you can get them?

  • The beginning:

Sent that girl away a night ago,

and don't she know it's been ashes

    Sent her away and

    don't she know it ache

Heart of mine, throat of smoke,

I sent a girl away and

    it's been hell opened up,

    working on my skin

    till it be bone.

  • one of my favorite episodes of Cold Case. I cried at the end of this one.

  • perfect ending!!!!

  • This show "Cold Case" has consistently shown a commitment to showing true/real LGBT story lines. I really respect the producers writers and the actors that portray it all so believably! I just wish we didn't have to see "our" stories always ending in tragedy, like real life we live and love for our full lifetimes. Yes, it's harder but not at all impossible!! Love is Love, it's just two hearts and souls nothing more nothing less.

  • I think it's safe to say, love that we have it a bit easier now than back in the 1930s. Not only were the two women in love but you had a racial issue as well which sadly wasn't going to lead to any sort of a happy ending :(

LOL I finally got around to seeing this :)

  • This episode aired this Friday evening in Germany, right after the episode "Forever Blue". So we had two tragic homosexual stories at once. I think it takes much courage to take a try on these issues, and they do it brilliantly. There is hardly any episode which doesn't leave me crying :/

  • I think that the show, as it is about cold cases, always end in tragedy and that the writers and producers commitment to the LGBT community is one of the best out there. I do agree that love is just love, but on this show, tragedy is a common factor in all of the stories, and by including a lesbian story-line for even one episode, they are just showing the universality of human emotions, whether gay or straight.

  • I couldn't agree more lilymarie', I think it's special for many reasons. They just do this genre like NO other show. They make me feel so much for the characters, straight/LGBT they ALL touch me. Yes, the show's format solving old crimes does make the stories almost always end in deep loss. There was one w/a Gay couple in the 80's one an AIDS activist who was murdered, NO spoilers. The ending was bittersweet w/the surviving Man marrying his Partner. The music-BRILLIANT was "When I'm with you"

  • @marklulrich It's a crime show. Not a comedy. All the episodes are murders and cold cases so we know whether its an LGBT storyline or not, it's gonna be sad. Just the way it is with a show like this. I just applaud the network and the show for putting it in and being brave enough to keep it out front. Now SHAME on CBS for cancelling one of my few favorite shows on television!!!

  • @jdsthird I know it's not comedy obviously. I've watched this show from ep' one on. Not sure if you think that I don't get "Cold Case" or what. I know it's about solving old crimes that never were. I've just lamented the fact that in general (not just CC) "our" stories seem to end in tragedy/death, it's almost a subliminal warning. Don't let yourself do this, or be who you never chose to be, because this is how it will end. LOVE CC, don't think they did that. I agree,CBS-SHAME on u taking it off

  • this one and one night almost made me cry lol

  • this was my fav episode! made me cry. so beautiful!

  • WOW

  • what´s the name of the song at the end of this episode ?? it is GREAT !!! please tell me ...

  • i think it is called best friends by michael levine it is on itunes u have to check cuz in not completely sure.

  • Why was there no arrest though?

  • @BrownBrother27 eh, no real crime was committed except for by her brother, and it was 70 years ago.

  • it's one of my favorite episodes.

  • i absoloutely love the score in this episode. so sad and moving and powerful

  • yesss...one of the best

  • is this rose girl a lesbian or something???

    please tell me!

    thanx! :)

  • Yes, Rose and Billie were together, you should check out the whole episode. It's here on youtube :)

    xx

  • @Pinkberryx1 I think shes BI because she got marrried wit a guy after i think

  • @Charmedpiper15 Of course, she was married to a guy. She couldn't marry a girl back then - it was illegal. :P Anyway, I think she was a lesbian, not a bisexual because there was social pressure that a guy or a girl has to marry those of the opposite gender and build families because that was what the society expected of them back then

  • @Pinkberryx1 yep

  • un des plus bel épisodes

  • Thanks!

  • I'm so glad I found this, does somebody know what music is used from about 4:50 till the end? It is so powerful, I hope somebody knows... Thanks!

  • It's probably some of the original stuff Michael Levine does for the show. You can probably find it on the Cold Case Soundtrack. I know it's being sold on itunes.

  • @Sputnik1220 You can find that soundtrack here on Youtube - type on '23. Best Friends - Cold Case Soundtrack' and it'll lead you directly to the soundtrack.

  • The Song is called Best Friends but it doesn't have the same effect without the Cold Case footage.

  • @Recowest : Its called Best Friends but by whom is it?? Loving it, its soooooo relaxed and smooth

  • @LadyJ0905 Sorry the composer is named Michael Levine.

  • @Recowest : thanx! :-)

  • mon épisode favori ...

    j'en pleure à chaque fois
