I made a big breach of behavior when I went to worship at the mosque the 1st time--will never forget it. During sujud I folded myself over and stretched out my arms in front, like you see in the stereotypes. A very kind person came up to me silently and physically placed my head, arms and hands in the proper way. I will forever be thankful that this person saw and helped me.

Good point indeed,I think knowledge is the difference between muslim scholar and ordinary muslim,it is just like job,if you are not a pharmacist you cant prescribe a medicine for ill people.

This Ummah needs more good examples like Sheik Hamza.

@mujahidah1000 In Islam is says not to complement a person too much because you will cause him to fall in a trap that will cause his ego and other attributes to rise. This in the long run will create a bad person. So maybe complementing Hamzah Yusuf should stop and complementing god for great knowledge should start. This would seem beneficial for everyone.

@TheAspergerGuy i think u hav misunderstud the hadith. its not good to compliment a person in fornt of them and others, for the reason u mentioned. whereas behind their backs its good to compliment them, and bad to criticise them.
