  • Great job cousin. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL! I researched Nine-pound Hammer and everybody else is claiming ownership and many versions.

    A lot of folks give Merle Travis credit for writing the song but he didn't record it until 1946,

    These are the originals and my grandfather is hitting the spike on the record.
