LOL i love that people say " no skills anymore". I heard David at this event in 1996 & let me tell you... there is skill there... as a dj, you do what the crowd wants... so if they dont want production on-site...that is a reflection on the people at the party or club. A good dj rides the ride and gives them what they want. We had fun there.. If you want to sit in a chair at home and say the dj didnt do his job, then you are a jaded wannabe. as Richard Vission said... "Shut the F**k up & dance"

Today with Djs who have ableton and other djing friendly programs. Its really more about programming that just mixing record a into record b.  Traktor allows you to edit and re edit a track live and do other things that just mixing. Does anyone give a rats ass about how you are playing 3 records at the same time?No, its about programming and track selection. and the sound that comes out of the speaker! I hate spending all my time burning cds and flipping through a cd book all night its 2011
