95/96: Bulls vs Knicks-Van Gundy's 1st win as Knicks coach 1

this was the first basketball game i ever watched, i was 5, and i remembered the score so i typed in knicks 104-72 and found this

yea I remember this game too. the knicks just got Van Gundy and just lost to the clippers. I thought the season was doom and then we crushed chicago. thanks for posting

They didnt "Just get Van Gundy" he was Pat Riley's assistant coach and was retained throughout.

yea JVG was always on the knicks staff but this was his 1st exp as a NBA HC

I remember getting home from watching Happy Gilmore at the movies and watched the last 6 minutes of the fourth. I was going insane! I regert to this day not staying home and watching the entire game.

@Emanuelknicks Does someone have a video of the bulls at knicks game early in '96, the bulls we're in their regular road red uniforms. The game was at madison square garden and the bulls won 99-79, i believe it was about janurary or so.If someone has this video, can you please post it on you tube.
