Most people are wondering why Vincent didn't bring his gun with him into the bathroom and such.

You see ladies and gentlemen, while on the exterior, Vincent Vega is a badass hitman akin to Jules, but as the movie plays on you will quickly realize that he is a complete idiot. At least 1 (two if you count himself) death is directly caused by him and it is not a stretch to say about 66% of the conflicts of the film are caused directly by him and his stupidity and carelessness.

Did anybody else get the inference in this scene? There were at least two references in this film for the character Vincent Vega having a bowel movement. The other was at the end when he excused himself from the breakfast table to "take a shit". The film opens with Vincent talking about beef hamburgers. I think the writer was sneaking in a personal commentary about the demands and consequences digesting meat has on the human body. I assume he is a vegetarian.

When Marcellus spots Butch in his car, he's carrying a box of doughnuts and two cups of coffee, which were for him and Vincent. He was actually on his way back to the apartment.

I think this outcome has a lot to do with the miracle that none of them got hurt by the guy with the revolver, and Julius' decision to change his life at the end of the movie. If Julius was there waiting for Butch; if he hadn't had a change of heart, he could've been killed too.

I thought since he showed up for his meeting with Marcella and his date with Mia that since Samuel Jackson was not in the scene, he already had his life altering experience and that is why he was not with vincent. Confused!

Vincent did not die in pulp fiction. If you remember in Marcellas club they had the shorts and tacky clothing on as well as the case of gold. That is how the movie ends with them delivering the package after the robbery in the restarurant.

I just figured it out today. He must have had a bulletproof vest on. I think I am right on this one.

This was preemptive punishment for Battlefield Earth. Don't feel sad, John Travolta had a great role while it lasted and had the privilege of drawing on Uma Thurman's breast with a marker. And to some extent, you can blame this on Willis's partner in the flick. If she had bought blueberry, Vincent would have stolen them, Bruce Willis would have left immediately and they never would have run into each other. Her poor choice of toaster pastry murdered Vincent.

Butch ran after double crossing but had to return to his house to get the sacred family gold watch, and while doing so that's where Vincent was looking for Butch but was momentarily shitting. that is how he died

I like the way that his death is just so sudden and unexpected. It's such a stark contrast to most movies, where if the protagonist dies there's a huge buildup and usually some deep dialogue scene.

Vincent is surprised the man he's suppose to kill, a man he never respects and even insults, holding his submachine gun. The M-10 aka MAC-10 empties the entire magazine in a few seconds. Assuming he used the .45 ACP M-10 (30/1145)x60 = 1.572 seconds. 1.761 seconds for the 9x19 mm Para with a 32 round magazine. Just awesome.
