This is probably one of the best weapons in the world in real life, let alone the best shot gun. It fires a little faster then in the game, and has a circle clip (magazine i think its called or something) and it has like smoke grenade rounds, explosive rounds, armor piercing rounds, and like soo many types of rounds. It's like a clip of 16 I think. Saw it on futureweapons haha

Red dot on any shotgun in MW2 is useless, you hipfire it all the time, grib FMJ and extended mags are the only proper attachments

Maybe for a video game, but I think they're trying to keep it realistic in using the magazines they used. Round drums aren't very convenient.

If you use the AA12, with the Extended Mags Attachment, does it get a drum mag?

Extended Mags increases by 50% the ammo capacity in the magazine. So in theory, instead of having 8 shotgun shells in one mag, you get 16 shells in one mag with EM. But the overall ammunition count is the same, so instead of two magazines of 8 shells with a total of 16 shells, you get only one magazine of 16 shells.

The drum mag is 32 shells, so 16 bucks this is the closest you can get from the drum mag in real life.

Like ALL the shotguns, you have to be close for it to be a one hit kill.

If you're using Scavenger, this is probably the best shotgun in the game. If not, you'll be out of ammo after 2-3 kills.

Plus, in order to keep the game balanced, not all the shotguns function like they do in real life. Someone already pointed out this gun is far more deadly in real life.

AA-12 is my favorite shotgun, but without the Scavenger perk (resupply ammo), it waste its entire ammo in seconds with only two clips. Great to combine with a another powerful but low ammo weapon (SCAR-H).

in real life that thing COMES with a round drum that holds 35 rounds...it can fire automatically up to about 50+ yards and it has 35 types of ammo...try telling me THIS game has not tried to balance the gun

It's actually underpowered to its real life counterpart.  It doesn't have explosive rounds or anything. :(

The TAR-21 is also really really underpowered. They made the accuracy worse than the M16 even though it's as accurate as a sniper rifle from like 175 meters or something.

many of the weapons will be very powerful, but they won't make anyone invincible. for instance, someone with an AA12 could easily be taken down by a sniper; the sniper could be taken out by another sniper or someone going stealthy and sneaking up from behind; everything can be countered.
