@mauram15 They'll have a scripted dragon sequence for demo purposes, to minimise the chance of the player dying (last thing you want while giving a demonstration). Also, they will be holding a lot of the game back. What would be the point of buying it if they showed you everything?

Well it was clearly stated by Beth that creating a multiplayer component would result in an average single player game and an average multiplayer game, going by that logic I am happy with TES staying single player, I personally think multiplayer in TES would ruin it any ways as the storyline is very much revolving around the player in Skyrim due to you being the last Dovahkiin

A lot of these demo's are centered around combat. They show some other features as well, but the emphasis on just one thing bothers me. Morrowind had a lot of combat, but it also had a lot of role playing, and a lot of freedom of choice. The jury is still out on Skyrim.

Skyrim is a very passionate project with a fresh take on Elder Scrolls, it may not be innovative, but thousand games aren't and are more fun than the ones that are innovative. Because when a game introduces something innovative, it tends to be a prototype and it takes a couple more games to get it right. What Bethesda does with Skyrim is takes its old formula and makes it better and more fluid. Derp.

@gerryjtierney The dragons coming in is scripted, but the rest isn't. Basically what they did is made sure they had two dragons come in, one after the other, but everything after that was in the AI's control.
ok...so morrowind was and still is one of the best games ever...the sequel ,Oblivion was a bit of a failure compared to morrowind.From the looks of this here, Skyrim could be a masterpiece to be remembered for a lifetime( even people with no clue about RPG`s will love this)...i`m thinking ...the only way to fuck this up is making the game too short...

Granted, the dialogue could be dull, but so could morrowind's.
The thing I didn't like as much in Oblivion was how all the landscape was the same, but frankly, that is the point. Morrowind was supposed to be "A stranger in a strange land", which made sense with all of its diversity. That wouldn't have worked in Oblivion because Cyrodiil isn't influenced by all races as much. It's the capital.

@WarbossGorgutz Who said it had less features and overall content? It has mining, cooking, smithing, wood cutting, potion making, spell making, enchanting, ect. Oblivion was said to have 200 hours of content while Skyrim is said to have 300 to 400 hours of content.

But saying something as blatant as 'it will have more content' can't really be misinterpreted, they can't really say something ,at E3 of all things, and do the complete opposite. But look at it this way, the game has to have as much as or more to do than Oblivion, and were you disappointed with the content of Oblivion? I, for one, still haven't 100%(ed) the game.

The sandbox element is definitely a plus, and it's why I play(ed) Oblivion and Morrowind. However, you can't deny that both of them feel a little incomplete, Oblivion moreso than Morrowind. Riddled with bugs, game breaking bugs, bugs that can even corrupt your save file. And, ofc, Oblivion's horrendous armor.

@GerrohTheCommie Thats because Oblivion doesn't like communists or socialists, so it resorts in corrupting your save files (which has never happened to me an I've been playing oblivion on pc and xbox since it came out.). It could also be the fact that you broke one of the 10 Howard commandments. 1: using todd howards name in vain. 2: Keep 11/11/11, 6/6/02, and 3/20/06 an holy day. 3: Do not worship any idols unrelated to the elder scroll series. 4: honour and respect the elder scrolls team.

@redsox95MB There's no artistic value to it, no passion in the game, it's built, constructed, they lay out what will wow and awe people at E3(Again, graphics and retarded shit like independent tree limbs) and forget about making the game actually good. They don't bother with the tricky stuff like storyline(TES story is probably the worst of mainstream RPGs), making the movement flow instead of being the sluggish shit we see here, and adding, get this, something we haven't seen before.

Some screenshots, 10 minutes of gameplay and an hour interview with Todd Howard which confirmed almost nothing?

@gerryjtierney The dragons coming in is scripted, but the rest isn't. Basically what they did is made sure they had two dragons come in, one after the other, but everything after that was in the AI's control.

ok...so morrowind was and still is one of the best games ever...the sequel ,Oblivion was a bit of a failure compared to morrowind.From the looks of this here, Skyrim could be a masterpiece to be remembered for a lifetime( even people with no clue about RPG`s will love this)...i`m thinking ...the only way to fuck this up is making the game too short...

@sldsaxkihc Oblivion was PERFECT for Cyrodiil - the architecture, history, events, were all spot on.
Granted, the dialogue could be dull, but so could morrowind's.
The thing I didn't like as much in Oblivion was how all the landscape was the same, but frankly, that is the point. Morrowind was supposed to be "A stranger in a strange land", which made sense with all of its diversity. That wouldn't have worked in Oblivion because Cyrodiil isn't influenced by all races as much. It's the capital.

@WarbossGorgutz That was a misinterpretation. They said that due to the impact of what you can do, leading to the end. But saying something as blatant as 'it will have more content' can't really be misinterpreted, they can't really say something ,at E3 of all things, and do the complete opposite. But look at it this way, the game has to have as much as or more to do than Oblivion, and were you disappointed with the content of Oblivion? I, for one, still haven't 100%(ed) the game.
