This is the defining moment of an incredible character arc for both Roslin and Adama. Remember that in Season 1, a disagreement between Roslin and Adama led to Adama throwing Roslin in the brig, and the fleet was divided between the 2 in early season 2. The established history between that time and this scene makes this scene all the more powerful.

I LOVED the part where Adama was rescued by his son and the Cylons, and then they marched towards the CIC, SUCH a good scene, with Cylons and loyal Colonials by his side he gained back control of his ship, the way they stormed the CIC and arrested Zarek and Gaeta was truly epic! Allthough I wished they would have made an episode about what happened afterwords.. You only see Gaeta & Zarek being executed, Racetrack, Skulls, Gage and MANY Marines should've been executed aswell..

@laurensmalter While there would have been some satisfaction of seeing many of the rebels get executed, one of the repeated themes of BSG was forgiveness, and therefore only the execution of Gaeta and Zarek was necessary, as they were the leaders. Adama was a strong and tough character, but he was also strong enough to not be vindictive. In the end, Racetrack plays her final role by nuking the Cylon base right before the Galactica escapes.
