i'm not sure why everyone is complaining. yeah they aren't 20 or whatever anymore. its called growing up and perfecting your skills. im a huge fan of Tell All Your Friends and dont get me wrong i'd love to hear an album just like that too, but i also appreciate when artist expand their versitility. I love Brand New as well and they are a huge example of how a band can completely change their style. you shouldnt always expect the same thing from a band. if youre a real fan you'll support anything

Seriously, there's no need to talk shit about their vocals. I saw them tonight and they sang flawlessly on every damn song, including Faith. They sing like this at acoustic shows as a choice. There's a raw quality to it that makes it feel more heartfelt. Which I think is pretty appropriate on a song that's clearly meant for his family. Yes, he smokes cigarettes and may not take great care of his vocal cords 24/7, but I personally prefer this to when he was 18 and sang the same way all the time
