there are some very rare styles of combat taiji which can actually be used in real time situations. But, the only way the public will ever buy it, is if the demonstrations are believable. Have an mma opponent attack (unchoreographed) and show the response of the taiji defender. Otherwise combat taiji will be lost to history.

I wish I knew combat tai chi, I learn it but my teadchers don't teach me self defence only movements and philosofy
