Just decided to play this after 12months absence playing BFBC2 and BF3 and man its still Good ... Big Suprise was that the rooms are still busy . If Battlefield had the same room set up and Mic system as Socom it would be the ultimate shooter out .. think Dice should do Confrontation 2 ..... LOL

I would like smart, tactic loving players who would like to create, to start a fireteam, maybe build into more.

Requirements:English, headset, willingness to talk on headset, knowledge and use of tactics.

There WILL be ranks, ranks will determine roles. Respawn matches will be practice, basic tactics mean you must stick to your fireteam UNLESS ordered otherwise by someone in a leadership position (your squad leader which must be a staff sargent, your platoon leader, which must be a lieutenant)

hmm, ok guys, give me yoru opinion. I LOVED Socom Combined assault for the ps2, (especially the camera angles, aiming mecahnics like crosshairs etc), and I TOTALLY DISLIKE Call of duty MW2 (especially game STYLE, and aiming etc and first person). So would you guys think I would like confrontation?! What I love is the feel of a war, Socom was strategic, tactical, and had huge firefights but realistic, MW2 is just run-shoot-die-repeat. NOt much teamwork. I love teamwork. What you guys think?

I love bc2 and it is currently my game of choice. But fps should not be compared to socom. I had a lot of fun on this and all other socom games. Fact is they are totally different games. Please don't flame cause I'm not talkin shit on bc2. Mw2 is too arcady. Flame on if you want on that fanboys.

the game is good, but it isnt the SOCOM I remember. I think I threw away money buying this game, it really isnt SOCOM. Its more like a Tom Clancy game. U cant reload while running nor change weapon...running button sux. No more side throwing with the nades nor side shooting while proned. U cant shoot over ledges, and no more hanging off ledges or scoping in with binoculars. No more changing weapons after u r the last one to die on your team.

Damn. Decent game. If only sony wasnt so damn dumb and just remade socom2 for the ps3. Keep socom 2 gameplay the same, block code9 , enhance the graphics, same rank system as s2 and same maps, and maybe add trophies and sooo many people would buy it and they would get sooo much money. It would be a total dream come true again. But confrontation the second best socom game behind s2. Thumbs up if you think this is true. :)
