How do you use a feeder animal without killing it for taxidermy? Do you skin the dead mice for example before it is eaten by another animal?

What a coincidence, I happen to be working on a machine that will completely taxidermize and anthropomorphize my body after I die. I'm having a little trouble with the mechanism that tans my hide though, I should probably take her class to figure out what is wrong.
