lol never ever install a computer like that, even if its for show and tell, did u notice the graphic card bending already, and plus watch out for that static electricity :o
The graphic card is not bending at all and I was grounding myself every few moments by touching the steel part of the case. If you're talking about when I built the system on the box to test it, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO THAT. How would you feel if you built your whole system into the case only to find out that your motherboard is defective? That'd suck.
Isn't that heatsink a little bit overkill for an i5-2500k? I've been using an i5-2300 with the stock fan and heatsink for almost a year and have had no issues with it overheating.
Well, I bought a computer from ebay Germany with the same specs and it cost in total, 1000 euros which is about 1100$ including the OS, Monitor, keyboard and mouse so in my opinion you should have searched for it like me. I didn't had any problems with any of the components and I can tell you this pc is a beast
@EmperorDozed $1100 is a bit much to spend on a computer from another country. Not to mention that you have no idea if all the parts would have been working. If not you would have had to return the whole thing instead of 1-2 components and simply replacing that 1-2 parts yourself.
I'm saving to build myself a gaming rig. It's been I while since I built my own, last time I did it I think it was a P4.
The parts I want are totaling at about $1,790 not including taxes. and I barely have half saved up. A few years ago, I opted for a gaming laptop but this time I want to be able to upgrade parts whenever.
@killyamomz If you're only going to use the computer for gaming, don't get the i7. Go with the i5 2500k. The 2600k gets almost no performance increase in gaming over the 2500k. Save the extra $100. Just an idea.
@killyamomz get a 2500k, 8GB of RAM (You don't need any more, trust me) and instead of a 580, maybe get something like crossfire 6850s or something? Would be much cheaper.
I swear for me with my newish system around 6:16, i had a similar experiance with my first build i had my whole family waiting to see if my computer I spent a ton of money on worked. I am so glad i did everything right but i was nervous as hell during that moment.
Honestly, now that it's been a while, I wish I had picked different music also. Not much I can do now..if I audioswap it, the part where I'm talking will get dubbed over.
That case was only $50. Any cheaper case would have been a cheap piece of plastic that would make my computer look like a typical Dell or HP or something. I did get a cheap case and that's why I've been wanting to upgrade it since I got it. Also, the price difference from the 560Ti to the 570 is like $60-70. Is it REALLY worth almost a hundred dollars more just for a few more FPS? This one performs fine.
Woah ! You got the HAF case for 50 DOLLARS ?! now that's a deal ... you did great than ... here the HAF case costs around 120/150 euro. And I agree with you.
You're trolling right? If you're talking about anything besides the hard drive, then you're stupid. These components match each other perfectly. If you want a bottleneck, put an AMD Phenom X4 with SLI 580's. That's a bottle neck, not this.
hey! i am about to buy the same computer.. apart from the cooler and the psu.. but i was i was wondering if you can add another one of those of gtx 560 ti to get sli... like is there enough room with the psu down there.. thanks in advance!
Hey HolyPuff, I just want to say nice video and great editing; please ignore some of the ignorant comments some have written. GTX 560-Ti is an amasing GPU, Its affordable and performs very well, Games like battlefield look amasing with 1920x1080 resolution with high settings at 50-60 fps.

Hey how is the SC version of the GTX 560 Ti working for you? does i have good temeratures and good performance? because on newegg it is cheaper than the regular 560 Ti and im wondering why is it cheaper if its specs are better?
so if you could respond to me that would be so helpful...Nice vid BTW! xD
@BringNStoHorizon: If you're planning to overclock, then ASUS MoBos are very good as are Gigabyte. I've heard the AsRock boards have issues with overclocking, but I'll let HolyPuff answer that. The Asus Z68Pro/Gen3 and Gigabyte UD3H-B3 are also Gen3 ready like this one (P67s have no onboard graphics though. Go for Z68). Also note that the recently manufactured Gigabyte UD3H-B3 MoBos will have Gen3 slots in it, but earlier revisions will need to be BIOS flashed to Gen3.
@XHolyPuffX yeah ended up seeing that right after i posted. do you use your system strictly for gaming? i'm having a hell of a time deciding between P67 or Z68 because I intend to use my build as an editing station primarily with some gaming on the side. If P67 isn't a total dog on video I would go that route, I don't want to have to deal with switching the BIOS and whatnot if I can help it. Any input on that?
I know the i5 2500k comes with an integrated graphics cards. So does that mean the computer will run with out a discrete graphics card? I have enough money to buy all the parts excepts for the graphics.
very nice video editing. i would have gone with an Asus motherboard instead of Asrock and Corsair Vengeance memory over Gskill. You should get another gtx 560 and run SLI. overall, nice system.

@MrToomanyquestions
It came with my motherboard lol
XHolyPuffX 2 months ago
@XHolyPuffX yeah ended up seeing that right after i posted. do you use your system strictly for gaming? i'm having a hell of a time deciding between P67 or Z68 because I intend to use my build as an editing station primarily with some gaming on the side. If P67 isn't a total dog on video I would go that route, I don't want to have to deal with switching the BIOS and whatnot if I can help it. Any input on that?
MrToomanyquestions 2 months ago
@MrToomanyquestions
It sounds like Z68 would be better for you since you can combine the onboard video with the dedicated card
XHolyPuffX 2 months ago
@XHolyPuffX that only works with the boards that have Virtu technolgy

I know the i5 2500k comes with an integrated graphics cards. So does that mean the computer will run with out a discrete graphics card? I have enough money to buy all the parts excepts for the graphics.

I noticed your gfx card doesn't have hdmi, I thought hdmi was best so could someone explain why you wouldn't want it? Thanks :-)

@SuperPhunTimez
Yes it does, it's just mini-HDMI

very nice video editing. i would have gone with an Asus motherboard instead of Asrock and Corsair Vengeance memory over Gskill. You should get another gtx 560 and run SLI. overall, nice system.
