I thing bands like MUSE reach a moment when they can control everything by themselves, maybe in the past Matt could do it, but now they need someone to control all the pedals.
I think technicians almost never get it wrong at this levels. Maybe amateur technicians, but I've never seen bands like Metallica having problems.
At the end you can see Morgan when it lights up, looks like he's playing a guitar. Good to see him learning guitar parts so Chris can concentrate on being the bassist!
Hi! All his effects are controlled backstage by his bass technician. Big bands almost never have to take care of pedals by themselves, unless that pedal is an expression pedal, like a wha-wha pedal or the KAOSS pad that Matt uses.
Ah I did wonder about that. Like, I know Matt has a guitar tech, but I didn't really know what he did because I've seen Matt using things on the floow at gigs before. Thanks for the answer. Do the technicians ever get it wrong?
there are no pedals on the rising platorms, but they have pedal boards by their other mics. you can see matt's pedalboard by his mic, just to the left of the piano. It's the only thing discernible from the black, you'll see it =)
What other songs does he play piano for? I was pretty disappointed when he didn't for New Born..hopefully they bring back B&H.

Where's Chris' effects pedals and stuff? I can see that rectangle thing on top of his box, but it look painted on and he walks on it.
