Joe Calzaghe is convinced age will be the overriding factor when he meets Bernard Hopkins in Las Vegas.
At 36, Calzaghe, who fights Hopkins early on Sunday morning, is seven years younger than his opponent.
"The guy is 43 years old - he's not the Bionic Man, he's human," Calzaghe told BBC Sport.

Joe Calzaghe is a typical example of a boxer who has been protected through careful management in what must be one of the weakest divisions in boxing's history. Calzaghe's "reign" consists of 21 title defenses in a division and at a time where Sven Ottke made the same achievement, only difference was Ottke did it by defending GENUINE -WBA (21) and IBF (16) Titles
Hopefully boxing can pick itself up with fewer WBO-like titles and less Calzaghe-like management where the best fight the best.

This was maybe the worst decision ever. Kessler were a lot better then Calzaghe. He blocked many of his punches and hit Calzaghe a lot harder. Kessler was a clear winner of this match but lost because Calzaghe landed more pussy punches. And look how often he clinches Kessler. Stupid judges

calzaghe got very heavy hands, in his early fights the opponents used to get the ref to check his gloves mid fight to make sure it was padded as he hit so hard, also on soccer am he scored 9999 punching power the highest possible score froch scored 8250 and holyfield scored around 9200
