@zergful2000 Yeah but mine ate fishflakes, banana and boiled lettuce when they were tadpoles and as they got older I gave them baby brine shrimp (in jelly) and once they left the water they ate aphids and greenfly til they got big enough to eat bloodworms( bought them frozen but sometimes got fresh ones from the garden), slugs and worms
omg I am growing my own tadpoles and mine are little yellow dots!!! I wonder why mine dont look like yours???? Yours are cute!!! I have 3 firebelly toads and 1 tree frog. see them in my videos!!!
i cought some tadpol;es for my school, we kept em in a tank, but in the holiday ym teacher took em home, so they wouldnt die, and they getted stolen XD
They were only four days old in this video so yes they did have a medium - small head and their tails weren't tiny but a little larger than their heads :)
I'm not sure about bullfrogs but with common frogs, you have to be make sure you lower the amount of water the 'froglet' has, in order to make sure it doesn't drown :)
Guys, i got a bullfrog tadpole at its tail in nipped off. Do you think this will kill him or somthing? Also, he is having trouble eating, he wouldn't take a worm, fish flakes, or anything! I have about 15 snails with him to keep him happy. He doesn't like um. Haha ok message or reply!
I'm not sure whether that will kill your tadpole :-I
If your tadpole isn't eating fish flakes, you could try bread & maybe some pondweed (make sure you disinfect & clean it first). If you don't already - make sure you dechlorinate the water before putting the tadpole in as chlorine has an erosive effect on frog/fish gills. Also stay on top of your water changes as waste & food build up increase ammonia levels and that can kill your tadpole.
Hey chuckyandnicky, I'm not sure when they will come back but usually they return at the age of 2 to the pond they hatched in, in order to lay their own eggs :)
Thanks! I fed them fish flakes and lettuce till they grew a little bigger.I then started feeding them brine shrimp and bananas [as well as fish flakes]. I took all but two back to the pond where I collected them as frogspawn. The pond was in such a disgusting state that I felt I had to keep two of them and now I'm waiting till they grow bigger before letting them go [am feeding them flies and worms.]I've built my own pond, so I'll probably let them out there :)
so bread works?
