@bordeaux138 - thanks for your comments. Nice to meet someone who knows a great hock when you see one. He is a very cool horse. Too bad Dee Invitation died. I would breed to him over and over. I have two great hocked horses by him. He died way too young. But thanks for your comments. Appreciate it very much.
@morganlover6 - What??? Tie his head up? This horse has not had his head tied up - he is great hocked and hangs his neck out like that all on his own.

@horsifreaki. I think most people would disagree with you. I think most comments here are referring to the horses obvious talent and ability, not the specific performance. Yes his top line is unlevel here & a bit animated but he is very young here & still in training. As he gets older & more riding, he will get stronger & the head bob will go away. I think most people see how incredibly slow legged he is, & how deep hocked he is. He is also gorgeous and has tons of eye appeal.
Im not liking his neck, he needs more topline, look at his neck compared to his chest and hind end. It just doesnt seem right. Training can quite a horses head, if it was my horse, that would be the first thing id fix.
thanks. Appreciate that. He has sold already. Yes - he is a gorgeous mover. And I had the mare bred back to the same stud again but she lost her foal and then the stud died. They quit bobbing like that when they get more strength. He really was the whole package, beautiful, gorgeous mover and great minded. He is one of the best I have raised.
Hi - sorry I didn't see your comment until now - I must have missed it in my emails some how - this horse was 3 when this video was taken - he is 4 now. I sold him this year and he is doing very well with his new owners. I have a half brother - well maybe a 3/4 brother to him. His name is Im Lopin Texas Style - he is a buckskin also and is coming 2. Sme dam as this gelding & Texas Invitation x Invitation Only. He is a beautiful gelding too & looks very promsing. Thanks for your post.
He is not a bad mover at all, he is neat and clean. His head bobs a bit, but they can't all be "perfect". I really like him. I am looking for a palomino or buckskin gelding all arounder.
do you not ride quarter horses? because this is how they are bred and trained to move. its called western pleasure. little knee movement. so he hasn't done anything wrong to the horse. obviously you don't ride aqhs.
Beautiful buckskin gelding..seems like he'd make a great hunter as well.what are his bloodlines?
in regards to lopingslow's comment...maybe its not that we cant do the same thing with our horses..but that we choose not too?? Oh wait, just because other people do it, means that its right..i forgot.
Hi The second show with the new owner - who is a novice youth - we put a flat saddle on him - she had a 10 minute lesson to learn her diagonals and she went out and won her first hunter under saddle class. he's a great horse and has won lots for the new owners already. He is by Dee Invitation x Invitation Only and out of Causinacomosion - who is by world champion Doc O Mos. The dam is a great mare and certainly cross well with Dee Invitation.
Sorry - sold this horse back in February to a novice youth. At his first two shows he has several wins and points in Jr. Trail, novice youth WP, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, showmanship, horsemanship and equitation. I have another one that is just as good legged as this one. He is on utube as well. Look for Pleasure Addiction. I just got this horse back in from the pasture after a break and will be getting him fit and ready to show.
for once a horse that isn't loping like it has broken legs. this is what i think a WP horse should look like. true three-beat-lope, not four. very pretty horse
Thank you for your nice comment. We think he is a great horse too. I have a full brother or sister coming in a few weeks and I can't wait to see it. Thanks again. I appreciate it.
I reallly like this horse. Much freer moving than I usually see, and WOW those hocks! Very nice! Congrats to his new family :)

So now how long did you have to tie his head up for him to look like that?

Yes - I use the rendered type of tail and depending on the color, weight and length they are about 300 - 350 I think
