a horse that over jumps is just green and not sure of themselves over the fence..but it corrects with experience..unless someone is rapping the animal's front shins as they go over... and yes enthusiasm can make a horse jump higher too lol

cute horse but ithink that u should see if u can get her to not over jump so much because as she goes higher and higher and gets to that stage were she cant jump like 1 or 2 feet higher then the actuall jump then ur gunna have problems with her jumping.

but then agin it may be because she is young. but just keep some tabs on it cause it can strain their muscles alot if you they over jump alot.

anyway cute horse. she has a great bascule over the jumps. seems to be very bold

If she is that careful as a 3 year old she's going to be awesome when she's had more training. Overjumping like that is a sign of being green - not a flaw! She just doesn't know exactly how to do her job yet! Tremendous potential!!!!!

She clearly isn't trained enough for jumping with a rider. yOU NEED TO RIDE her more, so that she learns not to over jump. Your weight in your feet going over the jump should teach her to lower herself. Otherwise she will make a great jumper some day.

She was 3 years old in that Free Jumping exhibition, now she is 5 and has been trained with a rider, she is doing Five Year Old classes great! Thank you all for your comments.

That is a valid point, but I personally don't believe that for free jumping. No, I don't think they should jump 4' every other day. But, as a foal frolicing in a field they put as much stress on thier legs as free jumping. But yes, any horse who is three should not be ridden over jumps!!
