  • Who picks the music for these videos?

  • what are you guys doing abour drug submarines ,u guys better get on the ball

  • SCO7765 How can I get a copy of this? I am a filmmaker in Florida (Also in the USCG) and I would love to put some of the footage at the very begenning on my film. The file quality is too small for me to download from the net.

  • 1:03 blading their hands with their weapons....

  • Unless LE trainin g has done a 180 degree turn, where is the honor in terrorizing peacefull protestors?? Don't act all stupid now, as at leas 80% of the LE training I recieved ar GP NB was how to cause the most pain to PEACEFULL(as stated by my GMC, GM 1 and GM 3, as well as a few OSs) I repeat-P-E-A-C-E-F-U-L-L protestors. Drug runners were only mentioned in passing......What happened to HONOR RESPECT and DEVOTION TO DUTY?? This was the main reason I gladly let my enlistment expire.....

  • Great footage. Check out my film "Semper Paratus"

  • woooooo. ill be on CGC WRANGELL in may 2011

  • the gas chamber is part of the Marines basic training

  • I am a high school senior and was thinking bout the cg, maybe even cg academy. I want to be in the cia. Does CG have any special forces I can join that will help my resume for that?

  • @Shredguitarist yes they do have special forces....look up coast guard dogs, and i'll be going to the academy too, so if you do go i'll see you there

  • Coast guard is obviously the service to get into if you want to work in law enforcement when you get out.

  • CIA isn't a law enforcement agency.

  • yeah GMs dont do much more than that, pick your rate, seal your fate. of course theres boring stuff that has to get done, there is in every job and the coast guard is no diffferent. cops hand out tickets for speeding and no tail lights too, not all LE is bustin heads all the time no matter where you are.

  • hahah did the last guy who on the radio have the callsign, "Joe Dirt?"

  • Yeah i wont go work for the USCg. I am in germans Ferderal Anegncy for technical relief

  • The U.S.C.G. ROCKS! I was a Chief Medic for 18 years in the Coast Guard and I would not trade that time and experience for anything. The people I worked with were all amazing. I would do anything for them.

  • Thats great man! I cant wait till im old enough to join. But i have to go into the USCG reserves, I have a dream to be a teacher.

  • i just enlisted in the USCG as a GM and im wondering what i have to do to get into the LE rate.

  • @m1carbine44 your in the coast guard but your asking this question on youtube??

  • @rwert09 yeah im in the coast guard but asking on youtube cause they wont tell me shit lol

    SN on USCGC SHERMAN WHEC-720

    previously USCGC SYCAMORE WLB-209

  • if you want to be in bigtime LE go GM. GM's are now being put in stations and if you go underway we do all the LE training. we work with the weapons systems and small arms, but the coast guard is comming out with a new LE rate so if you're a lawdog that might be your calling.

  • to anyone asking about LE in the USCG, i can tell you that we are a the only one the 5 military that has full time LE rights. As for jobs, the USCG just come out with a Rating thats soul purpose is maritime LE, as well as being a GM you will learn and tech people to be come part of boarding teams and boarding team Officers.

  • what is the song starting at 1:55 call anyone?

  • Its called Adiemus by Enya

  • thanks.....i had a feeling it was Enya

  • guys ne thing u need to kno abt this i can help a lil im in the uscg.

  • i wanna be a police officer one day but i cant till im 21. so i wanna join the military till then. is it verry possible to get a job dealing with law enforcement or something tactical in the Coast Gaurd becuase i read somewhere that the CG does not actively recruit

  • Your goal is the same as mine :P. What i did was check wikipedia and the coast guard website. The USCG website says it is currently highering. MSG me if you need any more questions answered or anything.

  • We don't need people like the other services do so we are much more picky with who we let in. Your chances of being turned away are much higher, however we are always recruiting. Contact your closest recruiter for details.

As for your other question, we very recently established the Maritime Law Enforcement rate (it may even still be in process), that will be your best bet. However, most career paths in the CG will be a good base for a future career in LE.

  • i am really thinking of joining the coast guard but id like a job boarding ships searching for drugs have a gun the hole 9 yards ya know. But id really love it if i could do that and be stationd near florida. at 3:05 that is what id like to do also

  • just a little helpful advice, dont get your heart on any location. when you join the military you are at the mercy of the detailer. i'm not saying you cant or wont get florida but be open minded that there is a chance you might not get it. also i was stationed in miami beach for two years and it was a nightmare, but then again that was just my opinion. the coast guard is a lot of fun, even during stressful times so i hope you do decide to enlist and good luck with what ever you do.

  • im thinking of joining, it will be a decision of a lifetime, i enjoy helping people and i want to make a difference in my country and protect it, im proud to be an american where we live free!!!

  • Go for it man, it the best job you will ever have.

  • What H2H do they teach USCG?

  • Who still uses M-60's really?

  • navy seals, Marine Recon, Green Berets, Pararescue, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and thats to name a few. it is a very good gun. it can fire 10,000 rounds in a row and still spit out lead.

  • No you would be wrong about that...PJ's do not still use M60's I was CATM for them for 4 years and never once worked on a 60..same with the SEALS and Recon and SF..everyone is using the 240...or the Mk 48 Mod 0, the 60 is gone and when I used them and worked on them I never once saw a 60 go through 10,000 rounds in a row without a malfunction, I doubt there is a light machine gun out there that can put out 10,000 rounds in a row with no malfunction...maybe the GAU 17 but it's not a light MG

  • Maybe you are right about the PJ's because I never worked with them. I do know for a fact that Recon still uses them because I was in Recon two years ago. SEALs also still use them because I have worked with them and seen them use it. Im sorry, I looked and I was wrong, it was something like 1000 rounds, still very impressive.

  • No it was 10,000 rounds. It's the new model of the M60 with some new barrel that can really take a beating. I don't think the military was very interested in it none the less because of the newer and more up to date guns hitting the market. It's a great gun and all but I personally feel that its time for the switch to the Mk48

  • I can't decide between being an Air Force Firefighter or a USCG rescue swimmer. Any advise would be helpful, thanks.

  • I'm in the same spot to

  • im stuck between being in the uscg, usaf of law enforcement

  • uscg =)

  • Haha, me too.

  • USCG Rocks!! I love it!!

  • haha im in the same boat as you man, dont know which one im gonna choose lol

  • Pretty cool.

  • Ahh, I can't wait, one more year of high school, then its off to boot camp for me :)

  • When you get to Cape May, don't make the mistakes some of my shipmates did.

Bring plenty of razor blades, a phone card to make phone calls (the phones charge you just to make a call, so bring a lot of minutes), and make sure you cash as the ATM at the Exchange sucks. PLUS, when you get liberty, the towns are so small that getting to an ATM is a hassle.

  • Alright, fellow Coasties. I hope you were paying attention to this one. That Army Sergeant kissed our racing striped asses! Hell yeah!

  • THE HARDEST JOB YOU'LL EVER LOVE.

  • I miss it.

  • Sweeeet, I was shipmates of the two guys in the RHI @ 2:32. That picture was taken just off the coast of Thiland in the summer of 2005, when the USCGC Mellon (Whec-717) was over there with the US Navy.

  • GO COASTIES GO

  • whats that song?

  • Its called Adiemus by Enya

  • Go Coasties!!!

  • Semper Paratus!
