we just bought a 2002 buick lesabre limited, it has 10 way power seats, and memory for the mirrors, radio, ac/heat and the seat, problem is we can't figure out how to change the setting, and my husband and I are taller, the older couple who had it were both like 5', so its hard to get into without pushing the button to send the seat back. also do you know how to turn off the door alarm, the thing is sooooo loud, and it won't stop till you close the door. thanks..
I'm gonna get my dad's 97' LeSabre soon, i'm gonna love it b/c i have grown a lot of love and respect to it, people are gonna laugh until the light turns green, all i need is a supercharger, exhaust, and intake, btw, is it possible to put headers in the 3 series?
Nope, no supercharger yet. Just a fair amount of NA work.
Most things that can be bolted onto a Series II can be bolted onto a Series III, including headers. Although, the only headers available are for a Grand Prix, and will need some modification to fit.
I bought a lesabre , only because I got a great deal on it, at first i was bummed out about driving a old man car, but over time I learned to appreaciate the fine points of the car, smooth ride, ample leg room, good power and gas milage for a big car,
excellent traction in snow, and insurance is cheap too ! Friends still call it an old man car, but I don't care, long as I love it!
my dad bought one just like this but green. same year. he bought it for 3000 off his friend and his friend only had it for like a year than sold it to my dad because he wanted a chevy. so in march this year i get to have it as my first car. it is in almost brand new condition.
I should have bought a lesabre with the series 2. I am kicking myself in the face for not doing so. I would of put a turbo on it and it would be a fucking sweet sleeper car.
i had one too. i loved that car. there amazeing and very reliable. i had a 99 tho. everything original on it. nice engine too:) 3.8 series 2:D 205 hours power
the buick lesabre custom is what i have not a limited edition but nany buick lesabre is great i have 1 just like yours but it doesnt have flow masters it is a very smooth car and silent but mine also does'nt have a leather interior but a great suede interior and a great exterior
Awsome car, although I did not like what GM did to the face in '97. My grandparents had the '92-'96 face, 1996 to be exact. Too bad my bro totaled it. Hail the GM H/C & W bodies
dude. i love your buick. :] its probabally the nicest one i have seen yet. thanks for all the tips for makin mine like new. one more question. where can i find exaust like yours, or the same?
I used a Flowmaster 80 Series muffler, but any muffler from another brand such as MagnaFlow that can fit a Camaro or Firebird will work on our LeSabres also.
You can get on with low milage and in good shape for around 3-5grand. Most people who have these cars are over 55 years old and they pamper them. I got my 95 lesabre in 2002 and it was as if I bought a brand new one, no problems. It was a series 1. In my opinion the series 2 is a little better, but I don't like the series 3. There are almost no mods you can put on series 3 unless it is supercharged. With a series 2 you can put a turbo on it if your into that.
hey i got a 97 lesabre LIMITED, same color even the molding is silver. its a great car. i crashed it into a deer and it still runs like a beast! soon gonna fix the body baby! hey dude, tint ur window black like mine, it makes it so damn sexy and a almost same firebird back style
nice car man. these lesabres were the top sellers during its time. nice cars, affordable, and RELIABLE. cant beat the 3800 engine. i have a 86 buick park avenue, and virtually same engine, the good old 3.8 and its runs like a dream still.
GREAT CAR!!! Who needs a Toyota when this car will typically get close to Camry V6 gas mileage while sitting in a living room couch and beautiful ride. Plus safety heaven forbid of involvement in an accident.
Take good care of her and it'll surely take care of you:) I'm in the market for this type f car myself.
Thats pretty good compared to most crap on here. I have a 98 lesabre just like that, but without the gran touring package. I also have a 94 and a 97. They're nice cars.
AWESOME i have a 95 buick lesabre with a 3800 tuned port injection engine i cut off the box on the exchaust not the cat but yeah lol. i cut it off and put a straight pipe out with a fat e.tip. but damn im getting duals now lol. p.s do you have any tips for me for fixing mine up for racing?
Premium American Motorcars! sweet vid dude! I drive my old man's silver '92 LeSabre Limited all the time and it is such a classy car...I love the 'Sabre! If they only made 'em rear wheel drive and with a smal block V-8 ...ah well! It's nice to see what they look like driving from a perspective other than the drivers seat!
i have a 92 le sabre with dual flowmaster 40 series delta flow and it is the shit i know wat u mean make grandmas car louder give it a yunger person touch
I kinda agree on keeping a LeSabre stock. It's a classy car that deserves to be kept that way. I have an '02 Custom and it'll always be Cadillac quiet.
Because they should be Quiet. Does Grandma like the noise of a 3.8L, NO. Not saying buicks are bad, but you are kind of ruining the point of a lesabre by making it loud.
On another note, I see you have a Sonoma. I too have a truck like that, 1996 Chevrolet S10 LS, 4.3 V6. Only 38000 miles from very infrequent driving. Great truck.
I just got a 95 and I nicknamed it OMC...Old mans car LOL...Impossible to look cool in!

i see everyone saying it has to be quiet but what about a lil hooked up huh? some nice wheels, nice paint.
coolkidz15 4 years ago
Wheels...maybe...beyond that it'll look hooptified.
Beatleologist 4 years ago
i mean like if the paints a lil faded paint it a nice color like black and put some nice chrome wheels, stock size but low profile chrome rims
coolkidz15 4 years ago
Low profile wheels look stupid on a car like this.
Beatleologist 4 years ago
not if u do it up right, no taste
coolkidz15 4 years ago
Isn't that in the bible somewhere, thou shall not put dual exhaust on my LeSabre.
2200sls 4 years ago
And...why not?
hondaman94 4 years ago
Because they should be Quiet. Does Grandma like the noise of a 3.8L, NO. Not saying buicks are bad, but you are kind of ruining the point of a lesabre by making it loud.
2200sls 4 years ago
Does grandma own this car? No. Deal with it.
If people didn't change from the original "point" of cars from time to time we'd have a very boring automotive world.
