I'm rather stuck, i have all my cds in alphabetical order, but i'm not sure what to do for one particular artist. let's say i have a few led zeppelin albums, should i put these in alphabetical order (which is what i am doing now) or put them in order of release. So all my cds would be in alphabetical order for artists names, then release order for each specific artist. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't say that knowing how to organize things is common knowledge. If it were, then there wouldn't be professionals who get paid to train peope, right? Sure, it's common sense to make backups of your CDs, but some of the other tips probably aren't used by most people.

I'd like to see how many folders it'd take to copy and store my dad's CD collection. He has about 25,000 CD's and some have more than one disk within them... It'd take a lot of folders.

@MsSweetPuppy ok first of all .. i was never critizing her personality or the way she looks .. i was mearly commenting on the topic and content of this video - so get your facts straight. Second of all, I have every right to express my opinion on this video, so deal with it. Uhm and thirdly, if nobody wanted to hear my critical comments, then why is it the highest rated comment on this video. Seriously, people like you shouldnt be allowed to comment on videos .. and your comment was a FAIL!

I don't comment for votes, little one. You need to read how you come across to people, which is quite nasty. I'm not the only one here that took note of this. If you want to be a lady then act like one. If you don't have anything nice to say, then say nothing. If you meant it different then you must explain yourself differently. Your opinion was mean spirited, who taught you to be mean like that? Just because people agree with you doesn't mean you were nice or it was an A+.

Yes, this is still relevant info. People still store CD/DVDs. People w/ mp3 players may still listen to CDs in their cars til they convert to mp3-ready stereo, etc.
One organizer banished media cases to basement storage to declutter the family rm & stored the CDs & DVDs in leather media binders that looked like books. The covers didn't seem like clutter until we saw the room w/out them. The room was transformed beautifully!
