what is creek #3 name. I'v been wanting to know good places to pan when i go on vacation but can't find any. Also, is it on private property.

@fishing7231 Creek # 3 is on private property. It is just one of the feeder creeks that feed into a large river. It is often so low that we can barely pan or it may flood during heavy, prolonged rains. Pan any rocky creek you can get permission to accesss. Many have gold. Just be sure to have written permission from the land owner with you or you may be arrested. Don't get caught panning on SC state parks. They will take your gear, car and make you an unhappy prospector. Good luck.

awesome videos guys. me and my buddy are new to goldpanning so i have been watching videos from guys that have been doing it for awhile. nice find on the old sluice. please post a follow up vid!! i love history. i think it is pretty neat to see old gold prospecting equipment.

@meatmangary Not sure if there is gold in WV or not. Could be some small glacial gold. Do an internet search and see what shows up. Good luck with your prospecting and take your daughter along with you! She may bring you good luck.

@indyme2 here in the rivers of WV there are lots of petrified trees the Lepidodendron and the Calamites also Stigmaria these were types of trees kinda like giant ferns or horsetail family they were hollow like bamboo filled with mud and preserved well. as the river cuts through every year a new layer every year. never know what u will find. I may do a video like that it might be fun to do. I have photo's somewhere in all these computers I own (9). Just finding them is the problem :]

@bobinmissouri Don't have any of those kind of videos yet but thanks for reminding me. I had plans to do one on a highbanker frame and mainfold using a Bazooka sluice. I haven't posted any videos lately because I am trying to complete the movie. I should finish next weekend and then start working on more. The sluices are actually one continuous sluice and it is now over 100 feet in length. We don't know where it will end. No riffles yet. Those may be gone. Good gold. Awesome video, I have a few creeks I have been spot panning in, No luck just yet but I did find a flake above highway 11 Lots o gold out there you guys are either great or lucky. I would guess a little of both!! Please post if you ever put the sluices up for viewing!!

Thanks for the comment Arrow69hunter. We probably have more luck than skill and most of that comes from just digging and testing for color. We are working on a video about the sluices. The one removed will be preserved and probably put on display at some location of Herb's choosing. Will let you know when and where that happens. Thanks again for the great comment Sir.

@kerbyjackson Kerby, they keep reproducing! As one is uncovered, another appears. They seem to be all connected. No riffles yet but good gold. I will post an update soon. My real job has me buried right now and I haven't time for anything but work. Hope to get back to the creek soon myself. Nugget and Danny have been doing all the work.

@UltimateReviews777 Doesn't surprise me. You are a good prospector and that is a good creek. I screened and panned some cons from creek # 1 today. Good thing I kept that black sand...found some nice gold that I would have otherwise missed.
