  • what is the stitch called? its very pretty.

  • Love this video, love the pattern I'm making mine and it's pretty easy. You did a great job at explaining how it goes. The only question I have is how Many rows did you make?

  • What size needle works best. And how do I locate your written pattern?

  • very lovely scarf........... love the color and the stitches beautiful.

  • You showed and explained that very well. Look forward to more.

  • how do you make sure that it wraps around the two triple crochets?

  • This is really cute. I'll have to try this. Thank you for sharing you did a great job.

  • very nice scarf love that pattern best of luck being yr first video>.diane ontario canada

  • Today I bought my first crochet hook and a ball of cotton yarn. After watching this video >5 times and google-ing/youtube-ing how to crochet a chain, a double crochet and a triple crochet, I finally have this scarf in the making. Thank you for this great video, I'm sooo excited to finish it!!! :)

  • DO MORE! :) pleaseee <3

  • I was trying to hear what you said, and had to rewind to the part I missed, only to interrupt myself by how excited I was that you crochet the same way as I do! Holding it and what not. I've NEVER seen anybody else do that, and I'm really excited. :)

  • @ghuang0113 her written pattern says chain 36 for 10 pattern repeats. If u follow her link, you'll find the pattern on her blog. Hope this helps. :-)

  • I love this scarf! I'm so glad i found the video first, cuz I would've been so confused by the written pattern. lol Thanks for such an awesome pattern and video.

  • I really like this pattern. But I'm kind of confused about how many chains I'm supposed to make. I also want ten repeats but the multiples of 3 got me confused.

  • very pretty pattern, i will do this next. Thank you for taking your time to this tutorial. Very nice:)

  • could you please mention the size hook you use and the weight of your yarn. Thanks, I just love this pattern.

  • I love this pattern and appreciate your first video, but you talk too fast for our slow minds and ears. I have difficulty in reading a pattern, but will try.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Thank You thank you thank you....... I made one for my sister and it came out so nice and its a great pattern!!!!!!!

  • this is lovely how wide is your scarf?

  • @3239861 Thank you! When it's relaxed, it's about 8 inches wide, and it can stretch to a little more than a foot.

  • Love it!!! Thank you so much!!! =)

  • Great job! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Could I make a large blanket with this pattern? And how do you switch colors by row?

  • @TheAshleyBoyer Speaking as someone who has had a blanket in the works for two years, I commend you for your dedication. O_O I'm sure a blanket using this stitch would be awesome (please please please share pictures!). I haven't tried switching colors, but it would probably look nicest if you used the new color in the last "yarn over, pull through two loops" of the last treble crochet in the row. Good luck!

  • does this pattern use alot of yarn? ty for the video .... very pretty

  • @perogi02 Not at all! If you go to the original post about this scarf (in the description), you can see how big it is, and that took less than a 7 oz. skein of worsted weight yarn.

  • I really like it, thanks for sharing. I hope you upload more videos.... **********. 10 stars for you... :)

  • Is this scarf good for warmth, or just for looks, and would it make a good "scoodie"?

  • @pchippychick It all depends on what you do with it. If you make it like my blue scarf, fairly wide and also long enough to wrap around my neck three times (albeit pretty snugly), it's great for all three. For warmth, you want to make sure you can wrap it at least twice.

  • Thank you. I will post it as soon as I complete it. Thank you again. It's a beautiful stitch. Almost like a cross stitch, but with the tr st.

  • I really want to crochet this scarf for my niece who is going to live in Canada for 3 years.I want to complete it before Christmas. Can I crochet it in Benat chunky?

What is the yarn you are using, and your hook size?

  • @dancinggirl75 The beauty of this pattern is that it lends itself well to variation, so yes, absolutely use chunky yarn! I've used Lion Brand Homespun, and surprisingly it still worked. I would, however, shy away from using things like pom-pom yarn or the very "wispy" yarns with poor stitch definition, because this is all about the stitches. In the sample, I used Caron Simply Soft Yarn in Persimmon and an H hook. For the blue scarf I used Simply Soft Berry Blue and a J hook.
