i read this thing on this other sie where if amercia invaded japan amecia would lose 1 million men so i kind of think it was smart but not smart to nuke them because they had there familys and kids other than that i think it was good RIP fallen world war two soldiers
I wouldn't. History and these conflicts teach us what the consequences are of war and how peace is the true way of a responsible nation. Those men that gave their lives in the name of freedom deserve to be remembered. And remembering the war and what they died for is what we must never forget.
There's a plaque that stands on Iwo taht says: We commemorate our comrades, living and dead, who fought here with bravery and honor, and we pray together that our sacrifices on Iwo Jima will always be remembered and never be repeated.
that is all too true. and the sad thing is, I hear a lot of people trying to rewrite the history behind ww2 or in so many ways forget what actually happened.
polishsanta no one wants to invade japan so no one would thumb me down. You just spend all this time thumbing me down and going on your other accounts and thumbing yourself up.
I'm curious to know what happened to Saigo at the end of the film, where he looks into the sunset in a strecher. Did he die, or did he just go?

All I'm going to say in my defense is, watch Jet Li's Fearless.

WWII is by far the darkest time in human history. If I could forget it somehow, I would in an instant.

And I guess the best thing that came out of it all is that now the Japanese and American vets are now friends.
