  • Goddamn look how they structured those questions toward him. They attacked him and he answered calm and professional. Hes a straight boss. Ron Paul is the truth for real, he needs to get his messages to the young people for votes though. And no matter how much the blacks love having obama as president (I voted for him too)they need to open their eyes to Mr. Paul because he is the true definition of "change" for this nation.

    #KeepSpeakingMyMindPaul2012

  • It's not that Ron Paul believes that doing drugs is good. He believes in states' rights and a decrease in power of the federal government. It seems like some people didn't pick up on that from this video, even when it was clearly stated.

  • in Holland, these softdrugs are legal, tho our government has grip on the market of htese drugs. america should do the same :)

  • legalize all drugs, I'm definitely voting for paul! mushrooms and ayahuasca are the most healing plants I've ever experienced. They help me to see life in a new way. Church does not do that for me, the media certainly does not do that for me. not the US cultural "God" but the real creator who made all of us, put these plants on earth for a reason, to heal. God bless

  • where in the constitution does it give the federal government the right to regulate many things that it does? legal or illegal drugs is a 10th amendment right.

  • @randy28384 Who said that it would be okay to drive under the influence? Please find the part in the video where he says that. He said if someone wants to use drugs, they should have the right to do that. Just because he would make it legal doesnt mean DUIs/DWIs wouldn't be enforced...? Alcohol is legal, and is it okay for people to drive drunk? Uh, no.

  • i know many people may not care about central america, but i wanted to share a wonderful new with you all.. today guatemalan president is discussing a strategy to ligalize drugs in his country and hes planning to propose this to all presidents from colombia up, i hope they all agree on something, and if the good doctor wins the nomination, in a few years the cartels will be out of buisness. much love from nicaragua

  • Ron Paul is better than Obama, vote for him!

  • @TheLogicalKey He'll never become the GOP nominee. They don't really like him.

  • so when all the drug users get high and get behind the wheel and kill you mother, father, brother, sister or your kids then what? it ok becouse drugs are legal? ron is wrong for the usa and most american i know will not support he stupit ideas

  • @randy28384

you are an absolute moron... ive been driving high for like 3 years now. and im fucking in high school doing just fine. alcohol is fucking legal and is the only threat to people's motor skills preventing them from having the skills to drive proper. marijuana has no such affects on the motor skills and therefor doesn't effect the way people drive. open your fucking eyes man. prohibition of marijuana has caused so much more harm then good

  • @randy28384 where shall I begin. your* it's* because* Americans* his* stupid*

Watch out who you're calling stupid there, my ignorant friend.

  • I want ron paul for 2012, he seems like a awesome guy and i love his opinions. Too bad im 13 and cant vote D:

  • it's seems we live in a brainwashed society completely ignoring the facts. Maybe corporations add something to water? I filler mine :)

  • @hotjama12 and it's the same in all areas. War on terrorism at home and abroad doesn't do any good. War on Information at home (SOPA/PIPA), and abroad ACTA.

Trade wars home and abroad doesn't do any good to us - Chinese are killing themselves and we forgot the taste of milk. When you tried a real apple last time. everything I buy in a store taste like shit. All this frozen crap is tasteless and people enjoy them.

  • Lets hope Federal Government sells the heroin from Afghanistan only to EU and Asia.

But how you can explain Coke coming from south border?

I think it will be better for everyone to back off from the drug war and drug trade politic.

  • @RealvsScam

look Federal Government protects Drugs Lords around the world. In Afghanistan they protect the fields and they patrol the border. Who do you think does distribution?

Ask around, every one knows that it's only getting easier to get drugs on the street.

I am not a conspiracy guy, but you dont have to be conspirator, or genius to put 1&1 together.

Tones of coke are sold daily. How can you ship that much without FBI/CIA closing their eyes on it?

  • Comment removed

  • @RealvsScam That's right. There are more important things we should focus on. Suggesting that legalizing something somehow distracts us from accomplishing something is completely backwards. Think about all of the resources we waste on enforcement, when we could be out catching murderers. Think about the violent crime prohibition creates through the black market. If we focused on more important problems, these ones would just go away.

  • Ron Paul should be a comedian not a President.

  • Comment removed

  • If you are large distributor of the drugs, it's in your best interest to keep it illegal or there would be no market and prices will fall.

  • US took over Afghanistan. I am not sure how you can distribute heroin without US military involvement.

  • we love you Ron!

  • @RealvsScam Are you kidding me? If anything the last 40 years in a failed drug war have shown that throwing heroin addicts and drug users in jail won't stop people from using drugs. A new approach, such as harm reduction and education as to the truth of all drugs, rather than propaganda campaigns and a blatant and disgusting disregard for the human right to his or her own body in any way he or she pleases.

  • Like Congressman Paul said, if heroin were legal, that doesn't mean everyone is going to go out and start using it! Instead, people can make educated decisions before doing any drug, with access to real, truthful information into all aspects of each and every active drug. Heroin users can have access to clean, sterile needles in order to help stop the spread of diseases like HIV / AIDS, which can be passed on via shared needle use and they can have free access to treatment toward getting clean.

  • @SeaMawng Legalizing these types of drugs like heroin is ganna make it better? LMAO okay.

  • @RealvsScam Yes, it will. Instead of throwing non-violent drug users in jail and ruining their lives more than the drug did, they will have access to free help if they so choose to have it.

My point is, you, me, and anyone else has absolutely NO right to tell someone whether they can do a drug or not, as long as they don't infringe on the freedoms of anyone else, my, yours, and anyone else's drug use is no one else's business than the drug users.

  • And furthermore, people like who have some sort of sense of self-righteousness like you're point of view is saving lives, look at the facts, do some googling, the people who use drugs and are thrown in jail for longer sentences than some murderers are WORSE OFF than they were before.

The ultimate violation of human rights is denying someone the right to his or her own body, and by telling someone what they can and can not put in their body you are doing exactly that.

  • @SeaMawng Anyone putting heroin in there body or some other drug can do damage to other Americans Believe it or not we dont DENY what people put in there bodies as long as there ready for the time they will get. Google how many children home invasion were people that were on drugs get some fucking knowledge on that and stop supporting druggies like ron paul u dumbass if u just want to smoke weed dont elect a guy that wants heroin in public stay inside ur home and smoke bitch

  • @RealvsScam Besides the emotional toll that may be put on their family members, how are they harming anyone other than themselves? They are not infringing on the rights of anyone by shooting heroin into their arm. Period. If I want to do any drug, I should have the right to, and I should also have the right to truthful information about all drugs and the safe use of them, just like alcohol. Ron Paul never said he wants heroin to be available, he wants it up to the states. There's a difference.

  • @SeaMawng why even give states such a stupid option.

  • @RealvsScam

Check if US destroy drug fields in Afghanistan, which produces 90% of heroin.

Europe/Russia suggested to destroy the field but US refuse.

  • @SeaMawng

And if you worried about crack/cocaine ask US government about CIA/FBI involvement in trafficking. The investigations were closed so we don't know who is involved.

The same people will be screaming to keep the drugs illegal.

    are you that kind?

  • If common sense was a drug, Ron Paul would NEVER be high! What a LOON!

  • @TheNatchMan

If research, logic, and sense was a drug, you would be stone cold sober.

  • @AlexWerkmeister712 I will take that as a complement coming from a Paul tard. Money bomb! lol

  • @TheNatchMan

Oooooh, Paul Tard... I haven't heard that one before... -_-

  • @AlexWerkmeister712 Sure you have, and I bet you are confused each time! Racist!

  • @TheNatchMan

How is that racist at all, you mentally incompetent troll?

  • @AlexWerkmeister712 It's proven Ron Paul is a Racist, so if you support him, you are racist as well. RACIST!

  • @TheNatchMan

Actually, those myths have been disproven. He didn't know racist content was in those newsletters you're probably thinking of, and to the contrary, he defends blacks and other minorities. He also let a black husband in to see his wife's baby when the racist hospital was denying him entry.

    Now Santorum--*HE'S* racist.

Also, nice job of making an ad hominem sweeping generalization. -_-

  • @AlexWerkmeister712 Racist.

  • @TheNatchMan

    Troll.

  • @AlexWerkmeister712 RON PAUL AND HIS SUPPORTERS ARE RACISTS!!!!!!

  • I love that people are comparing drug use to rape and murder

  • What right does the government have to say that sober, alcohol and tobacco are the only acceptable states of consciousness. Social conservatives don't just want to control your body, they want to control your mind! You go Ron Paul. You got my vote.

  • MAKE THIS GUY THE PRESIDENT!

  • he is for gay marriage too!!!! what is next free the murders and rapist too? according to him we cant afford to keep them behind bars anymore. Ron is a moron if i have ever seen one

  • @randy28384 he's not for gay marriage.

he's saying that it's not the gov's job to regulate this...

    it's like religion

  • go ahead and pardon them then they will seu the state for false inprisonment and billions of dollars we dont have to spend!!!! way to Ron, even more debt we cant afford!!!!

  • he is a damn fool

  • The only drugs I take are Ibuprofen and NyQuil but I've always wondered what gives the right for our government to regulate what goes in and out of our bodies? Everyone says, oh it's for your own good and such but why can't we decide what is and isn't good for ourselves?

  • ron paul 2012

  • ron paul for life. but no gay marriage!

  • @dahmannable If someone wants to do something that doesn't harm ANYONE ELSE, then why not let them do it.

  • Did you know the Swedish government urged people to eat 5-8 loafs of bread per day, which ultimately came out as being a lie? It is, to this day, a big mystery how such a stupid thing made it out of the parlament.

  • RON PAUL'S COMMON SENSE SCARES ME. IN A GOOD WAY

  • Comment removed

  • Legalize Now!

  • I am from Canada and I think what R.Paul is saying makes a ton of sense. You Americans better vote this guy into office!!

  • @Natillex your totally right people whom smoke pot and drive are supper cautious because they don't want to get caught by the cops and or hurt someone. but also to go along with @lordmahan11 ya it would be a good idea to let the people chose what they think freedom is, because freedom is something that is in the mind not a law or something that is tangible to your hands. So to give someone the right to rule you and mediate what you do is insane. im an animal so let me live like i am.

  • He's not purposing an executive order requiring nation-wide legalization of drugs--he's just handing the responsibility over to the states. Frankly, it's not a bad idea. Chances are, many states will keep many practices illegal (although that's partially speculation), but at least each state with have the ability to shape these laws to their individual needs. It's quite logical, really. Doesn't seem like a nut to me.

  • drunk people run stop signs.....Stoned people wait for them to turn green ^_^

  • I have cancer and I should be able to use alternative medicine if I feel it's more beneficial. Ron Paul 2012!

  • Pure lunacy. Portugal decriminalized all drugs a decade ago, look what happened to them. Drug use, crime, and money spend on drug problems went down. That put thousands of correction officers out of work. We can't have that.

  • @cdoftx

"Despite criticism from other European nations, who stated Portugal's drug consumption would tremendously increase, overall drug use rose only slightly, whilst use among teenagers dropped, along with the number of HIV infection cases, which had dropped 50% by 2009"

  • VOTE FOR HIM, DONT CRMINALIZE DRUGS.

Even Judges are having coke fueled parties, they just get away with it.

Drugs being illegal is a GREAT way for gangs to make money too.

  • He says at the FEDERAL level, and states would responsible for their own drug use laws. I have no problem with that. It would however, be interesting to see how economic productivity goes between drug and non drug states. I used to smoke boat loads of pot, and I can honestly say my work ethic sucked big time. {Did coke and a few others besides on occasion, washed down with alcohol} On top of that, I know I don't want to trust my life to someone who's too stoned to function when on the job.

  • @SADDLEHORN1A1 Well said...

  • Drugs like Heroin,Meth&Cocaine are illegal not because of discrimination or to take away ones freedom, but to discourage individuals from doing them, because drugs such as Heroin,Meth,&Cocaine ruin peoples physical&mental health, their personal lives, and even can end in death. To permit drug use,is the same as saying that it is okay.we are a country of liberty, but it is still the governments job to protect its people of dangerous behavior.True liberty is Anarchy, true liberty wouldn't have government

  • @GrotesqueKevin Also well said !!!

  • @GrotesqueKevin Afraid not friend. I don't see that keeping all this stuff illegal has slowed down the use of it. It's just more expensive to get and causes there to be all manners of crimes committed in order to do so. Our entire system is screwed up, our priorities are backwards and it's because of that sort of stuff that people want to stay high in the first place. Fix the illness on the symptoms. Go watch Charlotte Iserbyt videos.

  • @dolittleskippy I don't fear "decriminalizing" drugs because I think more people who do them if they were legal. I fear legalizing drugs because it will change how society & culture views drugs. Legal or Illegal drugs will always be controversial, but if legal it would make them more "ok" in some peoples view.

  • @GrotesqueKevin Well, having a bad view of them isn't helping much. A lot of people do stuff just because they are told they can't or shouldn't. But having it all illegal just makes things more expensive and causes a huge burden on the taxpayers who have to pay for the stupid courts and jails. It's all big business.

  • @dolittleskippy Legal or Illegal, drugs will always be about big business in the US.Legalizing all drugs,or leaving the states to deem what drugs are legal or illegal is just trading one problem for an other problem.Either waywhen it comes to narcotics,it will always be aburden on society,I dont think the US or anyone in the world will ever find a goodsolution to this problem. We had drugs legal in the past, that failed, and made drugs illegal, that failed.Either way it ends infailure

  • @GrotesqueKevin Okay whatever, we have bigger problems right now. Did you hear about them passing the NDAA act? THAT is reason enough to vote for Ron Paul!

  • @GrotesqueKevin The use of drugs isn't the only problem. The costly war on drugs is a problem, and ending it would save lots of money, which comes from our taxes. Drug-related crime would go down, since dealers would be pushed out of business. People use drugs, legal or illegal, no changing that. But we can change our number of problems. We can solve a few big ones, reducing the problems we have, improving society.

  • @GrotesqueKevin

are you high? Who is talking about legalizing drugs!?

    the current situation is absurd.

US spend billions on drug war, and at the same time US involved in drug distribution from South America and Afghanistan, Asia, which is around 90% of all world drug traffic.

  • they're trying to build a prison...for you and me

    I know the prison system.

  • @DISSODANTS How so?

  • @dolittleskippy the prison system is just another privitized sector of capitalist oppression. Why tax legal pot when you can just let states legalize, let growers accumulate wealth, and then seize all their assets with the DEA?why take a percentage when you can have it all? then they go into prisons funded by tax payer dollars. when the mafia sets up systems like this we call it racketeering.

  • @DISSODANTS I know about all of this. What I mean't was in what way do you know the prison system. Do you work for one or have you been in one or what? I see you have a good understanding of how corrupt that system is too!

  • @dolittleskippy they're lyrics from a song; "prison song" by system of a Down.

  • @DISSODANTS Oh. Okay.

  • 2:05 is the best part XD!!!

  • Legalize ALL drugs? Think of it from the viewpoint of someone just hitting puberty; it will encourage more drug abuse. This guy is nuts.

  • @BrokenClouds89 Just because it's legalized doesn't mean it will be legal for all ages... I think he stands with people that are educated on all of them and thinks that whether or not something is wrong people should have the right to do it.... If we keep going the way we are going with the gov't it's gonna get to the point where, for example, the gov't will say it's "illegal" (wrong) for you to have more than one kid. I agree with him on this.

  • @BrokenClouds89 Absolutely!

  • @BrokenClouds89 He never said legalize all drugs. He said leave it to the STATES to decide. The CIA has been in charge of the drug rings for decades. It's a big mess. There is NOTHING nuts about Ron Paul!

  • @BrokenClouds89 The title is misleading. He wouldn't legalize all drugs, or prostitution. He would leave the decision to each state, and not federally fund drug prevention. He would end the War On Drugs (billions of tax dollars wasted, not reducing addiction, encouraging prohibition-related gang crime) and pardon non-violent drug convictions (incarceration doesn't cure addiction, prisons are way too crowded). He's not nuts.

  • lol i need the government to take care of me

  • Our country needs ron paul. We need a major change in america, therefore we need more than a generic republican/democrat. Paul should appeal to both. People who say drugs should continue to be illegal do not understand humanity. People who want to do drugs will do them whether or not they are legal! Mexico would benifit from it also. The only reason drugs (specifically weed) are not legal is that they pose a threat to pharmaceutical and tobacco companies. Modern Laws are not made to protect peo

  • I love how Fox asks him the question like he is a complete joke. Fuck fox news. President Paul!

  • Ron Paul understands Freedom more than any of these other jackasses

  • You can tell this nigga is a certified pothead.

  • i would still not want heroin to be sold in stores.... just saying...

  • @ch1leang0d

Air duster is sold on the shelves in stores. Not to mention cough syrup and allergy medicine. People will find ways to get high regardless of legality.

If I had the option to buy heroin in my local supermarket, I still wouldn't. Would you?

If someone wants to disregard all known facts of the harmfulness of heroin and still wants to do it, so be it. It's not hurting anyone but themselves. Throwing these people in jail is just wasting money and further ruining their lives.

  • @AlexWerkmeister712 well i still think there should b an age restriction or at least a confined area where they can be bought... i've heard news reports of people that walk around schools that light a form of heroin to get kids addicted... for this to really work we would need to take the DEA money and move it into drug rehabilitation, therapy, and anti-drug education..

  • @ch1leang0d

I agree with age restriction, definitely. I don't totally doubt the news report you stated. People do some terribly corrupt things. Always have, always will.

I agree with drug rehabilitation and *EDUCATION* about drugs, but not anti-drug education. Kids and people need to be told the truth, and they will decide their own actions based upon that. Anti-drug education is just tempting kids to go out, rebel, and get messed up on these "cool, bad drugs."

These laws do more harm than good.

  • If Paul weren't so batshit insane on practically everything else, I might support him.

  • @darklordoprah Batshit insane? You mean challenging the status quo which is NEEDED!

  • @darklordoprah Please explain your point of view on how he's "insane" on "everything else".

  • USA defence contractors are the biggest drug money launderers in this world. I am sure USA is the last country to decriminalize drug use.

  • Here in Portugal we decriminalized the use of all drugs 10 years ago. Since then, drug use in general fell over 40%, 35% less cases of HIV drug related, less violence related to drugs and gangs, and the drug treatment clinics registered record numbers, so much that lots of new clinics had to be build in order to help all those people who wanted to quit drugs.

And we are the only country in the world that is smart enough to do this. Sad =/ I hope you guys in the US do the same in a near future.

  • @vechorik Worry all you want about legalizing drugs. They're already legal! Alcohol is legal, and very destructive. Morphine is derived from the same plant, and has the same properties, as heroin. Ron Paul won't legalize all drugs, he'll let states decide - and no state will legalize cocaine, heroin, or meth. Marijuana, sure, but that should never have been banned. Worry more about prescription pills!

  • Id vote for.him shit

  • The drug war has been a catastrophe. It's good that we have some politicians who are beginning to realize this.

  • Ron Paul is the only man running for office with common sense. Vote for Dr. Paul in the GOP primaries for real liberty!!

  • DRUG WAR = FARSE.

  • Thanks for posting this, and for posting his views on this in more detail in the description. I agree with him 100%. The war on drugs is a failure and always will be. Most of the prisons in this country are privately owned, which means for each inmate the prison receives so much money. In Chicago they are starting to release people from prisons because there is nowhere to put them, most of these people are in there for having a small amout of marijuana. It's very logical what Ron Paul is saying

  • @theapplemonster9006 Definitly.
