No man, all good, you got the right note. Just trumpet geekery is all, what he plays here is the high G, a fifth above high C (the C just above the staff) and a fourth below double C. The double G is above double C, that's Faddis and Arturo territory and too squeaky for my taste most of the time.
I've seen many of the best trumpet players ever live in concert - including Maynard (my hero), Arturo Sandoval, and Doc Severinsen ( I play a 1979 Getzen Eterna Doc Serverinsen Model) - Jesse plays the most amazing National Anthem I've ever heard!
He is incredible! We met him at Phoenix International Raceway when he performed a few years ago and he's an extremely nice man. My husband played the coronet and knows how difficult it is to hit those high notes. Our hats off to him. I wish NASCAR would hire him to do the national anthem at every race. I just love listening to it. Gives me chills.
His highest note played on this was a Double G. His tone and musicality is amazing, but the range of this isn't really all that high for a lead player. Any decent college lead player would have command of the same range. Having said that, he's a great player and deserves every good thing that comes his way.
where is the other version thats been up the whole time? he plays the version faster and more passionately but i cant seem to find it anymore!!! could someone tell me where to find it or repost it or somethin cuz the version with the close up to his face is the best one hands down!! this one is good too, just sayin
Amazing <3

Is he.. chewing gum? If he is, a band director somewhere is pissed haha.

He may be chewing gum but despite what the purist may think about that, you cannot diss the performance. Great range!

@1972skb To be technical, it's a high G, not a double G. Not that it matters.
