Considering all thweird and uneven shows they got now on they are losing the true Science Fiction fans they still had. @uberjens The Antiques created the replicators to fight the wraiths but they got rogue, overrun the antiques and spread all over the universe, 1 civilization (it was in 1 SG1 episode i dont remember which) tried to constuct something like replicators and the asgards didnt exctincted, they still have 1 colony in outer space, but all asgards you know from SG1 like Thor, Loki etc. those have died..
If you have seen the SGU and know the Destiny's mission, have you thought the possibility that the "creators of the universe" have actually caused the death of the Asgard and the Ancients? Because it's quite hard to believe that the Asgard and the Ancients with all their knowledge were unable to cure themselves. What if these "creators" caused all this in an attempt to stop anyone to grow as powerful as they are? What if this is the truth that SGU will someday reveal to us?

to me SGU was an insult. I liked sg1 (though i felt they started going down hill from season 5 onwards), SGA i couldnt really get into (though if it was on tv i would watch it... unless something better was on), and SGU was mind numingly boring. @TheAllumen I agree with you about the death of the asgard, I wonder if the writers of the show considered that the solution the the asgard prob was along the lines of thinking of loki. Cloning was never the answer, what the asgard needed was to broaden the genetic diversity for things like gender, height, skin & other things along those lines of thinking.

I say so because if we look at the asgards of pegasus, they have a better technology than the ancient (of course they had millions years to involve it but nvm).

whoops.. sorry for the wrong information. in atlantis not all asgards ships was destroyed. 1 ship escaped so asgards are still out there. but they are not ordinary asgards theyy are a rouge group loking more human like called vanir.

no, the asgards are dead as far as i know. in atlantis their only base and ships are destroyed in combat. none survived.

The battle is from 9x20 "Camelot", when the Ori invade the Milky way. 4 ships that kick the crap out of everything "we" have. The Asgard sure didn't turn the tide here.

if you watch stargate atlantis not all the asgard died. some survived and took mkay and dr jackson hostage to get a weaopn working that destroys the wraith but also the stargates when there dialed.
