Yaa, you can do it in mixer also. Add cold water in small quantities and you will see desi ghee separated.

Ya..You are right..My mom used to give us to eat when we were kids.

It is amazing that milk can take so many avatars!!

Even the residual product like the one (brown particles) are not a waste..they can be eaten...
