 no it costs nothing and you can text internationally with no extra cost.

yes go into your bbm and text them to invite them. But they have to have a BB to do it otherwise you can text them thru you regular text messaging.

Or if you can have some one elses BB in your hand scan their Bar code . or also enter their pin. Every BB has a pin.

@BLITZ0017 If you're looking to compare a phone to the iphone, check out the NEW blackberry. Blackberry Bold 9900. This torch looks great, but once you actually use it, it's really thick, the touch is slow, and the keyboard is really small. The new blackberry's touch is a bit faster than the iPhone's, it's thinner than the iphone, the keyboard is amazingly spacious, and it just has a great feel to it. And I'll send you a message about the difference between BBM and messaging (no room left)

Also, I've read a bunch of user reviews that say that when you are making phone calls, the screen doesn't turn off therefore you end up pressing buttons with your cheeks and what not. Did you experience any of those issues during your time with this phone?

Just picked up a Bold on Verizon coming off an Android Eris. It seems that RIM's approach is to give priority to the phone first, extras second which is what I was looking for (the Eris didn't even have a proper voice dialing feature, which is ridiculous on touch-screen-only devices). Love OS 6 so far. It was a snap to setup Gmail and Facebook, and the notifications are unobtrusive and consolidated. Everything is very intuitive and the UI is minimalistic and snappy.
