Thats a demo program from the manufacturer, using a criss-cross or scanning tecnique to reduce movements and time. In everyday reality the end user compiles programs with normal movements and longer cycle times. Also the cutting tip does not move up between cuts to clear the surface, this risks crashes with the bits just cut out which could break something.
Hi trespire, this is no trickery! This part was made to show the high speed, high acceleration and programming versatility of this machine. In everyday reality, if our customer's part has patterns like this, we will cut it this way. There is no need to fully retract the cutting tip if the part is programmed intelligently. This machine can cut an infinite array of different shapes and sizes, limited only by your imagination. You sound like a bit of an expert - maybe you could work here one day!!!
i run a 6k bystronics bystar myself. not as fast as this though lol

I think the video is speed up. I think 5 KW laser don't run that fast on 1 mm steel

The video is original speed!
I have seen the scannin technique! Incredible!
(My father worked at bystronic, so I got some "additional infos" and saw the assembly building, testing building, etc ..)
