  • Frau Neuweiler =D

  • clever!

  • Really this freak of Nature should be enjoyed by surfers only. These lunatics with their kayaks, inflatable dingheys, and other craft should stay away before they get someone killed.

  • what makes it a five star bore?

  • what happens if you wipe out? bet you would be gutted to fuck!

  • wicked

  • surfing this is on my bucket list. I really want to take a shot at it. I can see more people are doing it every year though

  • wow that was awesome! =)

  • the easy way of getting rid of the idiots in the boats that ruin the spectacle for the riverside spectators is .... Apache Helicopter Gun-ships!!

maybe a little bit extreme but you get my drift.

surely the british waterways board should police the bore & simply ban the boats from riding the wave.

i watch the bore as often as i can - because it is a wonderful spectacle & something that should be enjoyed. i dont want to watch inflatable boats racing up the river.

    selfish fools.

  • nice video. very enjoyable.

the boats wont probably wont come back next year as the next one next year isnt as big.

  • Does anybody have any ideas how we could keep power boats off the bore. They ruin it for surfers, and spoil the natural spectacle which thousands of spectators come to see.

  • A Splended video with the Appropriate Music!! Top Ratings!! Thanks Beachfrontal for sharing this Gem with me!!!

  • Great Video with the right music..Loved the man in the suit and bow tie..The ending was perfect with the wave crashing on the bank of the river..

The power boats got in their way---BOOOOOO

  • Well that was anything but boring, better coverage than the SKY NEWS team, well done.indeed 55555.

  • I wonder if there is a record how far one could ride this wave! It looks like it accelerates!

  • The current record is 7.6 miles (taking an hour and 17 minutes) that local surfer Steve King did in March, 2006.

Unfortunately it was not ranked as an official world record as the relevant authorities did not witness it.

  • Yes, I agree with Rodney - the power boats wrecked the spectacle along much of the length of the river. A very selfish act in my opinion - get off the wave!

  • Shame the powerboats ruined it for so many people. Cracking footage though.
