chelsie should have been top 4! courtney is obviously the weakest dancer among the 3 girls.. how come even a ballroom dancer can dance so much better than her in a dance she should have been strong in.. she was out of place in some parts and her split was obviously not as perfect as the other 2

Best season of So You Think You Can Dance in terms of dancers =) Even years later I look back at the routines from Chelsie, Courtney, Twitch, Katee, Joshua, and Mark. It's also fun to see them come back on SYTYCD, Dancing with the Stars, movies, and I even spotted Courtney in Glee a time or two!

love it. and they're all good but chelsie KILLS this routine. she's just so rich and full and intent with every move. every time she moves her body, her arm or head or fingers there's a purpose while courtney, for example, kinda just does it un-enthusiastically...chelsie has emotion. she literally takes my breath away.

i see your points, but on the other hand, a big part of what the show is about is taking dancers and putting them outside their comfort zones - having a ballroom dancer opening a contemporary routine (and doing it beautifully) makes sense for the show. plus chelsie really is gorgeous. i was always a little more biased towards katee and courtney cosi love contemporary dance so so much, but for chelsie to be able to pull off other styles so well, i can really respect that

@brattette I agree. She takes my breath away too. You know what I found weird in this dance, though? They had two contemporary female dancers in the group, Katee & Courtney, and yet the choreographer chose Chelsie to do the intro. I think it's precisely for the reason you gave. I think Courtney was a great dancer but I also think Chelsie deserved to be in the finals more than her. Well, at least she can take comfort in knowing that she's one of the most if not the most famous SYTYCD alumni. =)
