i agree that using pointe shoes w/o proper training is dangerous, but most shots of her while en pointe are either her legs or her upper torso. in shots that show all of her body, she is using a trapeze(?) for support, or another dancer, or an umbrella (still not much support). i'm not advocating trying pointe shoes w/o training, but she was probably supervised and using support most of the time.

It's called dancing 'en pointe' it's a part of ballet training. The shoes are reinofrced but you need years of training and good strength to dance in them. Whoever it is in this video has awful technique!
