Yes they are real and VERY expensive. Think in lines of $3500 each. Totally awsome, still :o)
If I ever become rich enough, I'll buy one to put in a jet..

If you put pipes around to the front for air inlets it might go faster, it looks like your legs are blocking intake. But what do I know about jets.. Cool video.
